"I-I'm not." Mason muttered staring at the ground. "I am a good for nothing theif. I always have been. dad was right" a voice in his head that'd been there ever since he'd left home whispered, "ah finally being a good boy are you?" this voice tempted him to nod his head and ask if he could come home even though he knew he would insantly be told know. instead he just muttered, "if I can be a good boy I can come home. I can't go home yet." his voice very very quiet.

You don't need parents to survive, you need your skills to help you , your mind, and yourself. You just need to be you. Who cares what others say. Your are awesome." Soul says while smiling, she then pats Mason's head, "Just always be yourself and never give up."

"tsk tsk." the little voice said and it was gone. he hugged soul whimpering slightly. "sissy, make it go away. make the voice go away." he hadn't meant for the words to come out his mouth. but he was a little kid after all. he could exactly control which of his thoughts were said and which ones weren't.

Soul was speechless, but hug Mason and pat his head softly. "Mason, tell the voice that you are strong and you don't need it anymore. Tell the voice that you don't care what people think anymore, that you're amazing no matter what. Tell the voice that people care for you and you will be the best thief there ever was." Soul says in a gentle voice with a grin.

Mason let go of Soul quickly nodding. "y-yeah I'm fine. I-I shouldn't of done that. Molly doesn't let me be a crybaby." he wiped his eyes with the back of his hand to assure himself he wouldn't cry.

Mason nods once and says, "y-yes ma'am" he took the lollipop out of his pocket and unwrapped it putting it in his mouth so he might shut up. "mmm" he muttered. it'd been so long since he'd had candy. the last time he'd had candy had been 3 hours before his mamma had died. it'd been halloween night. he locked himself in a closet every year on halloween until mid day the next day.
