Austin was placing some of his luggage into the empty drawers of the guest room in Smokey's house. "Thanks again for letting me stay while I travel through Alola, Smokey." Austin said kindly and smiled. He placed a very old and worn down Bulbasaur plushie on the bed.

"Yeah you're welcome. Austin. Anything for one of my favorite nephews." Smokey said kindly and stretched. "So are you going to go explore Hau'oli? It's a pretty nice town and I'm sure you'll love it." He said kindly.

"Yeah! Torrent and I want to try a malasada! We'll see you at dinner!" Austin said cheerfully and headed outside. He was putting a blue contact into his brown eye when he walked outside. He headed into town

Stream, sat at a bench in town eating a masalda with her Marill, Dot. Though she was too distracted thinking about her mission, that she had barely touched her food. Dot, meanwhile was just happily dozing off.

Austin walked into Hau'oli City and headed for the malasada shop. Torrent saw Stream and Dot and called out a cheerful greeting. "Hey Stream!" Austin called out in a friendly manner. "Are you alright? You look like you're not here." He asked in slight concern.

"Oh!" Stream looks up, startled. "No no.. I'm fine.. Just thinking about... homework. Yeah.." She says, laughing nervously.

Austin raised an eyebrow and shrugged. He then walked into the shop and bought himself a couple malasadas. He gave one to Torrent and sat down. "Ah okay then." He said kindly and took a bite from his food. "Must be pretty difficult if you're that distracted. Though I'm sure you'll be able to get it." He said politely and looked at his pokegear.

[Another idea, maybe Stream will be suspicious of Austin at first since he'll know Rocket is there thanks to his dad. Snow is an investigator/officer so he'll be able to find out about Rocket.]

Stream laughs nervously. "Heh, well schoolwork is quite challenging sometimes... but usually not for me, since I am pretty knowledgeable about most things."

Austin nodded in understanding and stopped mid-bite as he saw a text on his pokegear from his dad. It was a warning that Team Rocket was snooping around in Alola. "I can't get away from those guys can I?" He whispered to himself quietly.

Austin glanced at Stream and sighed. I should warn her. After all she's been pretty nice to me...but will she turn against me? He thought uncertainly and sighed. "Uh. Team Rocket was seen in Alola. That's what my dad was warning me about." He said sheepishly, there was a very faint tone of fear for the evil team in his tone.

"Team Rocket in Alola?" Stream asks, acting surprised, though of course she had already known about it. "Your dad told you? What else do you know?" She asks, skeptically.

Austin blinked and frowned. He grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder. "I know that they're not here to make friends." He mumbled quietly. He had been afraid of Team Rocket since he was five. The evil team had attacked his school in an attempt to draw Snow away from the police job and had nearly killed Austin that day. A scar over his brown eye was a dull reminder of that day, and Austin was lucky he could see out of it at all.

"I've heard all about Team Rocket.." Stream says quietly, without letting anything else slip. "They're bad people who steal Pokemon.."
Dot, who was dozing next to Stream sheepishly opened one eye.

Austin sighed and nodded slowly. "Yeah, they are. I've met them before. They tried to take Torrent from me, but he and I fought together." He said quietly and shrugged. "Anyway." He changed the subject quickly and smiled. "Do you want to head to the beach or something? I still need to learn the island a bit better anyway."

"Oh uh.." Stream was surprised by Austin's sudden request to go to the beach. She wanted to hear more, but Dot quickly jumped up excitedly and started hopping around. "Marill! Marill!"
Stream looks down at Dot. "Well, I guess Dot really wants to go so... sure."

Austin nodded and finished his malasada. Torrent cheered at the mention of the beach and ran over to Austin. He stretched and headed for the beach, "I've only really seen a beach in Johto. The only one in Unova was around a very busy town or at a tourist trap of a city so I rarely went." He said kindly.

Dot jumps onto Stream's shoulder as she starts heading to the beach with Austin. "Oh," She says. "Well there's quite a lot of beaches here in Alola, it is what we're known for afterall. I don't really go swimming, but Dot here really loves going to the beach." She says, Dot cheering in response.

Austin nodded, "I used to swim in the river all the time near my house so I'm a decent swimmer. Though it's been a while since I've been swimming." He said with a yawn. "Torrent loves the water. So I'm sure he'll always be here when he as free time." He said kindly.

When they get to the beach, Dot immediately jumps off Stream's shoulder and runs to the water, splashing around happily. Stream chuckles lightly and smiles at the Pokemon.
