Note:

Plot: A group of trainers have left their homes to begin their new journey in the Hoenn region. They wish to grow stronger, defeat the gyms, and maybe one day become the new champions of the region. However rumors of an evil team are being spread, they're getting out of control and some of the trainers are concerned. Is this evil team real? Or is this journey the only thing the trainers should worry about?


Rules:

This isn't a totally literate roleplay. So one liners are allowed. However, they must continue the plot, and not lead to dead ends.
No godmodding or power playing even if some people think the ability to speak pokemon can be godmodding, but if your trainer has that ability then the pokemon in your party must have different characteristics, and not be 1 dimensional characters.
The roleplay will start off slow, and the main plot won't kick in until a little later. As the characters still need to learn more about their new teammates, and catch pokemon.
Special abilities for trainers are allowed, please don't have any over powered ones (like wins every battle, or controls all pokemon...) only one per trainer. (Some ideas can be, can speak to pokemon. But any ability must have a downfall. Like if a trainer can speak pokemon, they can be effected by sounds that only pokemon can hear)
A trainer may have a summons item, but only to pokemon from out of region, and the legend associated with it will only show up if plot demands it, and it's approved by me. Only one per trainer.

Looks/wears: Austin is four foot eleven and of a small build more so like Snow's build with one dark brown eye on his right eye and one frosty blue eye his left eye, he wears a blue eye contact in his right eye as to seem somewhat normal, he has short and spikey light brown hair with a small miscolor of black near his sides with white tips. He has tan skin and a small birthmark that is a pale patch of skin on his cheek. He wears a black blazer with a Charmander outline on the front pocket and a silver t-shirt that is under his blazer. He has faded blue jeans with a few holes in them and black sneakers. He has a black backpack and wears a red baseball cap to cover his hair

History: was raised by his dad and mom in Unova. Both his parents were police officers and he had learnt a lot about Team Rocket. His miscolored eyes made him a target for bullies so he wears a colored contact in one eye depending on his mood. If he's upset or nervous he wears his brown contact in his blue eye, but if he's relaxed he wears his blue contact in his brown eye.

She wears a creamy white t-shirt with black straps, purple hoodie/jacket tied around her waist, brown pants, black boots, and large black/blue/white backpack. She wears her cloned sash like a scarf.

Special ability: Can telepathically communicate with others, including pokemon. She doesn't have full control of it yet.
History: Originally from Johto, Abby moved to Hoenn because of her father's job. She hated having to move away, so when they arrived in Hoenn, she was determined to hate Hoenn too so her parents would move them back to Johto. Her parents gave her a treecko to cheer her up and it worked to an extent, but she still wants to hate Hoenn.
Other: She is the older sister of Elijah.

History: When he wanted to start his pokemon journey after receiving a pokemon from the neighbors, his parents made his sister tag along to look after him. So he is determinded to prove his indpendence and constantly likes to wander off.

He has soft, long brown hair that he likes to pull into a low ponytail of sorts. The left side of his head is more shaved, and there’s a dangling chunk on his right that’s too short to pull into said ponytail. He’s got dark blue eyes, is relatively tan, and has a lot of freckles. He usually wears a gray jacket with red stripes on the arms, and a red t-shirt underneath. He wears blue jeans and black boots with heels. It makes him feel tall, he’s only 4’8” shhh.

Not really a special ability, but sometimes he has weird flashbacks and gets no context whatsoever. They aren’t his memories. At least, he doesn’t think they are..? Spoiler alert; Giratina’s a bitter dad but can’t find it in himself to hate his new son so instead he’s being petty and sharing memories to annoy him
History:
Nothing special. He grew up in Alola with his two cool dads and was gifted his partner by chance. He chose to go off on adventure to “figure out who he really is”, and ended up stumbling across the griseous orb in an abandoned house. His dads sent him to Hoenn to show him that Alola wasn’t the entire world, and he (grudgingly) accepted and went to Hoenn. He’s been in Hoenn for the past three months with family.
Other: - He’s trans. He gets really uncomfortable wearing anything other than a sweatshirt.
- He barely understands Elely, and relies heavily on her movements to decipher what she’s trying to say to him.
- He’s fluent in ASL, though he gets a little shy about it.

I'm gonna start off the road. People are free to join in at anytime, if you need help catching up just ask for a recap. Everyone will start in/near Lillycove and meet up with the others.

Scar yawned and sat outside a cafe near the exit to Lillycove. She looked at her pokegear as she tried to decide on what to do. "Maybe I should train Nami a bit more. It's been a bit since we've battled and she evolved."

Austin was training with his Oshawott and was trying to get the Pokemon to hit a target that was in the air. "Alright, now Oshawott, use a water gun." He called and threw a rubber ball. Oshawott used the move in an attempt to knock the target out of the air.

Lillycove wasn’t his favorite place, Apollo decided early on.

Maybe he was homesick. Or maybe he was just sick in general. Or both. Probably the former. He felt perfectly fine, after all. Just a bit sad.

Elely, his Mareep and best friend, nudged his leg sympathetically with a soft chirping sound as he reached down to pet her. At least he wasn’t alone anymore, right?

Right. That’s what counts, he decided from his seat outside the Pokémon center, watching the people walk by.

Nami looked up and saw Apollo and Eley, she glanced at Scar for a moment before running off to greet the Mareep.

Scar looked up and frowned, where was Nami going. It wasn't really like the Wartortle to run off. "Hey Nami wait up!" She called as she followed her starter.

Abagail and Elijah were walking on the road to Lilycove, talking away to eachother.

Austin's Oshawatt shot off a water gun and the move went down the path. Austin smiled as it was about to hit the tree he pointed at, until he noticed that it was off course and was heading in Abagail and Elijah's direction. "Hey watch out!" Austin called out in shock and recalled his Oshawatt in order to stop the move.

Abagail was the first one to react first, pushing Elijah out of the way and barely missing the water attack herself.
"Hey!" Elijah squeaked.

Austin ran over looking embarrassed. His blue eyes were filled with concern and shock. "Arceus, I'm sorry about that I didn't think that there were anyone nearby." He said in shock and held his hand out to offer them help up if anyone fell. "I'm Austin."

"It's alright, I guess." Abagail shrugged. "At least it was a water move instead of something like fire."
Elijah had fallen over when Abagail pushed him out of the way, so he took Austin's hand to get up. "Thanks." He paused for a moment. "Wait, you're a trainer! Can we have a battle?"
Abagail rolled her eyes.

"If you want to see a trainer who uses fire, you really should talk to my uncle. He's Johto's new Professor." Austin said with a smile and nodded. "Yeah sure we can have a battle. My Oshawatt could use some training."

Elely leapt up and padded over to greet the Wartortle, eyes bright as she let out a short chirping sound in greeting.

“Wait, El!” Apollo cried, pushing himself to his feet to hurry after his friend. “What are you— Oh. A Wartortle? Those aren’t wild, are they?”

"Sweet!" Elijah called out his spheal. "Go, Boris!"

Abagail looked around, not really interested in the battle, and noticed something nearby in the bushes. "..?"

Nami smiled and gave off a very friendly greeting to the Mareep. Scar ran over and looked at Apollo. Being naturally shy and timid in nature she blinked slowly before replying.

"N-no." She began in a shy tone and shook her head clear. "No, Wartortles aren't wild around here. There were rumors of wild ones being in the forest nearby, but I've never seen them." Scar said politely. "She's mine, I'm Scar and the Wartortle is Nami."

"Alright Oshawott let's go." Austin called his pokemon out not really paying attention to the bushes around them. His pokemon came out once more and gave off a cheerful squeak, but the water type also noticed the bushes. He looked over.

(I don't know exactly where everyone is, so the bush movement is supposed to be from Wartortle and everyone over there if they're close enough. If not just random bush movement that Abby sees.)

"Boris, use powder snow!" Elijah commanded. Boris generated powdery snow and directed it toward Oshawott.

(Ah, Scar and Apollo are in town. Maybe the shaking of the bush could be from a wild pokemon or something? The others can meet up after the battle. Austin, Abby, and Elijah could head to the center afterwards and run into Scar and Apollo)

Oshawott wasn't paying attention to the move. He slid back and fell over. "Oshawott are you okay?" Austin called out in concern. Oshawott nodded, and Austin sighed in relief. "Okay, now use a water gun." Oshawott nodded and went to use the move.

Elely smiled too, though a tiny bit of static electricity jumped off her woolen coat as she shook herself, careful to avoid getting too close to the water type.

“Ah, hello!” The opposite of Scar, Apollo grinned widely and winked in a playful manner. “I knew they weren’t wild around here! She’s a pretty Wartortle. I’m Apollo, and the Mareep is Elely. She’s my coolest friend!”
