The Life of Kimberlee Ross
Forum-Index → Fanmades → Fanfictions → The Life of Kimberlee RossThen, I feel a nudge. I pry open an eye to look and my Pikachu, Jessica, and my Eevee, Cherry. I turn to my father, who is driving. "Are we there yet?"
He chuckles, nodding. "Welcome to Unova, Kimber. Get used to it. Maybe they'll let you take a spare starter, like they did in Kalos."
I look down at my bag, the Pokéball holding my Fennekin, Topaz, shining ruby. I smile. "I hope I get a Snivy!"
"That always was your favorite. At least, from Unova's selection. I know you have one from each."
"I consider them souvenirs, aside from actual team members."
"I know, Kimber."
We pull up into an apartment, our temporary living quarters, then get out. Jessica and Cherry hop off my lap so I can grab my bag. My books for traveling are up there, but my other things are in the trunk. Once my father and I finish unpacking, I let my Pokémon out. Noibat, Fennekin, Pikachu, Brionne, Eevee, Rockruff. All of these greet me, and I smile again. "Welcome home!"
'Well, now what?' I think to myself. Then I remember the Pokémon Lab. "Oh! Right. Jessica, want to come with me?"
My Pikachu chirps and hops onto my shoulder as I return the others, aside from Cherry, to their Pokéballs. Cherry might be asleep on my bed when Jessica and I return. I tell my father where I'm going, and off we go.
"Hi, Kimber! I heard about you moving here, and I'm absolutely fine with you taking a spare starter! Specific one?" Professor Juniper shows me the selection. The Snivy stares back at me with an expectant look, and I nod.
"Snivy, please!"
She returns the Pokémon and hands the ball to me. "Good luck on your travels!"
"Thank you!" I make my way out the door and go back home.
When Jessica and I arrive, I have dinner with my father. He and I, surprisingly, don't talk much when we eat. After that, I go upstairs. I sit on my bed and brush Cherry's mane, and she purrs in response. I then reach inside my bag and pull out a length of white ribbon. Said ribbon is littered with pink polka dots, and of just enough length to make a bow on my Eevee's ear. I choose her left ear, my right, and tie it on. She twitches it to make sure it isn't too tight or loose, then wags her tail. Jessica nods her approval as I get into pajamas and cuddle them both as I sleep.
