Part 1
Water surrounded me, no real land in sight. First, it came up to my shins, then my knees, and continued rising. I didn't mind the water, in fact, I rather enjoyed it. I began to tread water for a few moments before diving under to see if I could find my way home. I couldn't see the bottom, but something compelled me to swim down there.
Why isn't the water pressure affecting me? I thought to myself.
I decided it didn't matter and continued to go deeper.
Dead silence filled the ocean.
Thick black darkness consumed me.
I was no longer able to swim. Now, I was being pulled down.
I realized that I hadn't seen a single Pokemon, which was beyond strange. It was completely wrong.
I hadn't gotten a breath of air in what felt like hours.
Time slowed as my head filled with the heavy liquid. My body began to soak it up like a sponge until I wasn't just in the water, I became the water I died in.

I sit up straight, hitting my head on the ceiling, coughing and gasping for air.
"Ah-how...ow." I catch my breath and press my palm to my forehead.
"Jeeze...what a nightmare...," I mutter to myself. I swing my legs over the edge of my bunk bed and jump to the floor. I switch on the light and look at the date on my watch.
I gasp excitedly. "Today's the day!"
I hurriedly pull on my clothes. A pair of jean shorts, a blue t-shirt, flip-flops, and my favorite over-sized, short-sleeved cyan hoodie. I tug my dark hair out of the back of my hoodie and grab the matching beanie. I run out the door and on to the beach, my Wartortle, Angel, on my heels.

Part 2
I've lived in Iki Town on Melemele Island in the region of Alola all my life, and I've never lived anywhere else. It's so beautiful, especially in the early morning, when the sun is just peaking over the ocean horizon.
I run down to the surf, kicking off my shoes and throwing off my beanie. The white froth bubbles up around my ankles. I close my eyes and breathe in the morning air. I open them just in time to see Angel running into the water.
She turns around. "Tortle!" she barks, just before diving out farther into the water.
"Alright, alright," I yell, pulling off my hoodie and tossing it on top of my shoes.
I run out into the water, diving beneath the surface. I soon am able to catch up, swimming smoothly alongside her.
As we swim deeper, we're joined by schools of Wishiwashi, Wimpod, and Bruxish. Soon we are surrounded by the water type Pokemon of Alola. We even see a Dhelmise and a few Primarina. A minute or two later, after gazing at the sea life, I have to swim back up for air, Angel just behind me.

I watch Starrie's head pop out of the water, followed by her Wartortle. "Hey, Starr!" I call out to her. I see her head turn towards me. She reaches her hand out of the water and waves at me. I wave back, then motion for her to come out. She ducks her head under the water, Angel following suit. She soon walks out of the surf and up to me.
"Hey, Bro-Bro, what's up?" She holds her dripping arms out for a hug. I ignore the gesture. "I told you not to call me that. And why are you swimming fully clothed?"
She lets her arms drop to her sides. "But you are my Br-" I glare at her. "Ugh, fine Bain. But you're still my Bro-Bro! And I can swim in whatever I want!" She sticks her tongue out at me.
"You are so childish."
"And you're so bossy."
"Grow up."
"Meanie."
I try to keep a straight face, but I can't hold it. I burst out laughing.
"What's so funny?!" She tries not to laugh as well, but she finally joins me.
"Go on, go change clothes." I nod towards her house. "And hurry up, class starts soon."
She grabs her hoodie, hat, and shoes and runs to her house, turning around for a second to stick her tongue out at me again.

Part 3
I wait in Starrie's living room for her to finish changing out of her wet clothes. I take a bite of the chocolate chip cookie her mom handed me. She walks out a few minutes later with her backpack.
"You ready?" I question her. She walks into her kitchen and takes a cookie, putting it in her mouth and walking to her door. "Urh-hurh." I just roll my eyes at her and open the door, walking outside with her.
We get to the school and go inside. I wave at Mallow and Kiawe.
"Hi, Bain!!" Mallow waves back at me energetically.
"Hey, guys." I sit next to them, while Starrie sits with Lana.
Professor Kukui walks in not long after. "Sorry I'm late, you guys." Ash comes running in moments later, covered in mud. He sits next to me. He starts to explain what happened, but I stop him. "Do I even want to know?" He turns back to the front. I laugh softly under my breath. Professor Kukui starts the lesson, talking about the differences between Mega Evoloution and Z-Moves. I take extra notes, knowing that Starrie probably won't. By the time class is over, I've basically written down the whole lesson.
Starrie walks over to my desk and sits on the edge of it. "Sooo...I didn't take any no-" I hold up my hands to stop her.
"Yes, I did copy down everything, and yes, you can copy my notes."
I give her my 'I-knew-this-would-happen' look.
She gives me her 'You're-the-best' look. I happen to agree.
