Have you ever linked someone’s profile using the [user ] code? But then, when they change their username and you click on it a few months later, the user doesn’t exist?

I think that the codes should be able to automatically update - like linking toma should automatically change to towoma.

This could also help if someone takes your old username & then the code links to their profile.

EDIT: Like Achievement/Kels said, it would be helpful if those linked to the user ID instead, since those don't change.

Maybe we could have our user profiles linked to our user ID number we all have on our pages, since they’re unique and all, it would solve that problem :o

I definitely support this idea! It'll make things much easier, and that way you don't have to update your about me if you happen to have their userprofile linked in there and they change their name. Aaa

I agree with Achievement in that it should be with user ID. Those are unique and stay the same. Yes, you'll have to go look at someone's profile to get it where you currently just need to know their username, but it'll probably be a good solution. It can then show any current username
