(This fanfiction is based off my gameplay of Heart Gold. Every time I get a portion of it done, I'll post the pieces here.)

The flames danced around in and out of the Brass Tower. People and Pokemon watched in terror as some pieces of the tower itself broke off, fearing the fire’s spread. Among the villagers, there was a girl, who was at least ten years old. Her hair was a golden blond, her eyes yellow, and her dress white like fresh snow. She looked at the sky above Brass Tower, “Please, make it stop.” Her voice carried sorrow and worry. Three Pokemon, whom she played with for as long as she could remember, were in that tower. At least, that’s what she knew, until she could no longer sense anything in the tower, nor could she sense her friends. As if hearing her plea, the clouds released the rain they had stored. The fire hissed as millions of droplets assaulted the flames, giving off smoke. Once the fire was completely out, the rain stopped. The people down below began murmuring, trying to calm down children and young Pokemon. That was when a piercing cry came from the sky. Everyone looked up, their eyes widening at the sight. A golden bird soared above the tower, a golden rainbow trailing behind it. It let out another cry, and a light began to shine from within the now unrepairable tower. As the light dimmed, three roars shook the ground. Then, three figures emerged from the tower, unscathed and undeterred. The first one had yellow fur with black stripes, a thin light blue tail that ended in a spark pattern. Purple fur that ended in a sort of cloud shape ran from its head down its back. Its face had red eyes, and two fangs hung from its mouth. The second one had brown fur, with a gray wavy tail. On its back, gray plates jutted out. Its paws had black rings just above the paws. On its head, a yellow plate rested above its eyes, which were also red. Red platee hung below the yellow one, and to the sides of the eyes. From between the eyes, a grey plate covered its muzzle, looking like some sort of mustache or its fangs. The third was a light blue color. Like the first, it had purple fur that ran from its head and down its body. Its tails were thin, white, and ribbon-like, curving around towards the front. It had white markings on its body. On its head, a darker blue crest rested above its red eyes. Its muzzle and underbelly were white. The three Pokemon looked down at the villagers, scanning the crowd as if they were looking for someone. Their eyes then rested on the girl, who stared at them in amazement. She could sense the same aura as her friends from the three, but greater. Do not weep for us. We will always be with you. The girl heard a single voice that sounded as if they were talking in unison. She stared at the three, then nodded in acknowledgement. As of now, we are called Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. With swift movements, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune leaped over the crowd, bounding off into the distance, and disappeared…

“Wow! My great grandmother was there!?” Krystal asked her mother. Her mother looked down at her daughter and smiled, “Yes, she was, Krystal. She also knew the three Pokemon very well, because those three were hers.” Krystal’s yellow eyes widened, sparkling with wonder. She had her grandmother’s golden blond hair, too. She stood up, “I want to meet Raikou, Entei, and Suicune! And the Pokemon that revived them!” Her mother smiled again, “I’m sure you will. But for now, it’s bedtime. You don’t want to be late tomorrow.” Krystal ran up to her room. “Tomorrow, I’m gonna get a Pokemon from Professor Elm! I’m gonna be the best trainer ever!” Krystal shouted in excitement. She opened the door to her room. In one corner, her bed stood silently. In another, a PC, TV, and a Wii sat. She walked over to her bed, slipping under the covers. She closed her eyes, pondering the thought of which starter she would choose. She then slipped into her dreams.

Krystal found herself atop a tower. She looked around, seeing oranges leaves on the trees, and a city down below. Next to the tower stood a burned half of a tower. She felt like she had been here before, yet did not recognize her surroundings. She took a few steps forwards before she stopped and looked up, sensing something high above her head. In the clear blue sky, a golden light shone down onto Krystal. It was warm, and Krystal relaxed. She heard the chime of bells echoing in her ears, yet there was no sign of any wind. She stared at the golden light above her, waiting for it to come closer. “I await the day that you come, Krystal,” a voice reverberated in her head. Then the light began to fade, the tower too. “Wait!” Krystal cried out. “Where do I come? Where are you!?” As she took a step forwards, the ground seemingly disappeared from beneath her, and she plummeted down into the dark abyss.
