Drew nodded, saying nothing since really, there were things she
couldn't say yet. It wasn't like she was keeping secrets for a
reason - she'd grown up with Robert anyway - it was just that these
things were things she needed to understand herself first.
"I overheard Brendan telling Dilan and Alex how he's gonna push
Imogen into a wall and... well, you know. Maria and Dilan are more
pure." Drew smiled. "You know, I never told you when I figured out
I liked you." she blushed.
"yeah, don't scar the poor
kid." Drew coughed. "Well. I was like, 13, a bit before you
got out. We were really good friends. And I just looked at you one
way when we were partnered for a training excerise outside... and
noticed that you were kinda hot. I mean, now you're really hot but
hey-"
"Awww." Drew giggled. "Those were interesting times. I was...
really upset when you left. I was happy for you, but sad. Because
you and Jamie were - are still kinda - my best friends."
"I remember telling Officer Jenny where the base was but when she
went it seemed like a ghost building. Or at least that's what she
said." Robert mused.
"Basically. Almost like you all dropped everything and moved base.
I personally thought an illusion was on the building making her see
that." Robert replied as he hugged Drew just a little more tighter.
"How was it worse?"
"... Here. I can.. show you." Drew said quietly, stepping back and
off the stool. She moved her hands to her back, lifting the back of
her shirt a little, showing her tan back. It wasn't all smooth -
there was a large, pink scar from a little above the bottom of her
back, disappearing to where her shirt wasn't lifted. Around that
were smaller scars from cuts, and a small pair of bite marks
towards her side.
Drew shivered slightly, it was always cold in Snowpoint and she
hadn't expected him to touch the scars. "It's okay. T-the worst
ones only hurt a bit... there's tissue damage, if I-I remember
correctly. I got bit here-" she paused to move his hand to the bite
wounds. "B-by a Houndoom using FFire Fang."
Drew turned the side of her head slightly so she could kiss his
cheek. She moved her hands, pinned to the side of his arms, to
adjust her shirt before leaning onto Robert.
"I think... both of us need to come clean about things, to
eachother, though." Drew murmured, leaning against him. She closed
her eyes, only to be jolted open.
"ICE CREAM!" Maria and Dilan yelled, and the door could be heard
slamming.
Robert hummed in agreement before jumping slightly at the door
slamming open. A thump could be heard from JJ's room indicating she
had been asleep and had been startled awake as she fell out of her
bed.
