I just started and I don’t know how to get more Pokémon? Not adopt one, but roaming around and finding one

There's no place to find Pokemon that roam around. You can catch Pokemon at the honey tree on route 53, however you need honey, and pokeballs to do so. The other ways to get Pokemon are adopting eggs, and if you want just the Pokemon without hatching them. You could go to the auction house and bid on a Pokemon someone's selling.

The main way to get more Pokémon is by hatching them from Eggs which you can get at the Lab, Tall Grass, Gem Collector or during most Events for Event-Pokémon.
→ You can also buy Pokémon from other users that they’ve set up in the Auction House.
→ Once you have extra Pokémon to trade as well, you can try trading them for Pokémon you’re missing/you want in the Global Trading Station (GTS).
→ As TheNinjaCyndaquil said, you can catch them by luring them with Honey at the Honeytree, though this requires Pokéballs.
→ You can also find them in some special Rumble Areas that are released in Events.
