Lion smiled and glanced at Scar who looked as curious as Deirdre. "We're here for the annual carnival." He said gently.

"That sounds like fun!" Scar said gleefully and smiled at Faye.

Lion smiled and blinked as he remembered that first time he tried to take Faye to the same carnival all those years ago. It had been a failure considering Faye nearly died due to the guys from her past. He looked around and shook the memory of the day away before smiling once more. "It'll be a great time!" He said cheerfully.

“Yeah!” Deirdre cheers as she ran and walked next to Scar, looking around in every direction it of curiousity.


Faye smiled as she stepped back and walked with Lion, holding his hand. “It won’t be like last time. Promise.” She whispered.

Scar smiled gleefully and looked around with wide eyes. She smiled happily.

Lion nodded and sighed before squeezing Faye's hand. "I know." He said quietly. "Just ghosts of the past."

"Where do you two want to go first?" Faye called to the twins. Deirdre shrugged.

Faye smiled at Lion. "I'm better now. My stutter isn't there anymore. I may have scars, but I;m not hurt."

Scar looked thoughtful. "I want to get Cotton candy!" She said cheerfully and smiled at Deirdre.

Lion returned the smile and nodded. "Yeah I know. Thank arceus you survived because I love you." He whispered gently to where the girls wouldn't hear. He wasn't ready to tell them that story.

"No! It's sugar." Faye smiled before she found a stand that was selling not just 5 flavors of cotton candy, but cotton candy candies.

Deirdre points to the one with the balloons. The prize was a large stuffed Cacnea.
