The Zodiac Children
Forum-Index → Roleplay → The Zodiac ChildrenThis particular blizzard seemed normal, at first. Howling from the evening into to the late hours in the night, where it finally started to calm down. With a storm like this, you’d expect to have about a foot or more of snow. Weirdly, there was barely anything the morning after, as if Silversnow didn’t even have the slightest bit of snowfall.
Kiara-Zia Ianua was the only child of the Ianua family, living with both her parents. They were a very close-knit family but she woke up this particular morning, fairly concerned by the fact that she hadn’t been woken up by her parents like normal. So, instead, she went to wake them up. She failed to, however. Keeping calm, she decided that her best bet for help would be to seek the village elder. He was very old, but wise and knew pretty much everything from myths to ancient herbal remedies. She would be able to find him at his home in the village centre, not too far from his library.
She also had a younger 7 year old brother named Drake. She was extremely worried for her younger brother since he slept in a room across her room (would it be ok that I can include drake in this or...)
She grabbed her blanket and slowly walked to his room, telling her self to hurry up....
Just now, Hayden realized that it's unusually cold... He was far too invested in the story to notice.
He was still in the clothes from yesterday and he felt like a wreck. Not like he isn't one.
This house was still unfamiliar to him but he knew that Javier should be on the same floor, third door in the hall... Was it normal for kids to call parents by their names? Most likely not but the word Father alone felt weird on his tongue... Why did he decided to contact Hayden just now? And then book tickets so he can spend two weeks trapped in this village?
"Shut up..." She hissed softly, burrowing deeper into the blanket pile. Erich almost collapsed from laughing so hard, wheezing as he breathed. Evelyn shifted, her mouth disappearing under the blanket. Erich looked at her again, hit with another wave of laughter. Evelyn mumbled somethin incoherent, muffled by the immense amount of blankets.
He tried to find Javier but he was nowhere in the house... Or at least in any of the unlocked rooms. Maybe he just left for a hunt without telling him? He didn't think that Javier was one of the hunters but he could be wrong... They didn't talk much after all. The only thing he knew was that there are wolfs around here so going out alone is not a smart idea...
Hayden wonders when exactly did he stopped listening to most people. But then again, it was partially Javier's fault for giving him the keys.
He just needed to get out of the house... It was swallowing him whole. Hayden would give anything to just be back in Worcester.
Talon eventually got out of his bed and frowned. It was quiet. Too quiet for a place like this no matter what time. Had he missed something? Was something going on perhaps? He sighed and went through his daily routine. After putting his clothes on he went outside and stopped in shock. There was no one outside. His mind flashed through many ideas and theories on what might be happening but he wasn't going to get answers like this. So he moved to the closest house and started knocking only to receive no answer. Talon once again cast his eyes onto the village. Nothing looked out of the norm, there were not even signs of wild animals passing by, odd. There wasn't much he could do apart from go to the next house and knock to see if someone answers.

Daisy sighed and rubbed his hair softly."no,not yet...."Drake was about to burst into tears but then Daisy prevented that with his toy bunny, who he had ever since he was borned....
Something was off. He couldn't pinpoint exactly what but there was something...
His breath was ragged and sharper that normal. "Two In, Three Hold, Two out"- It wasn't anything serious and he certainly wasn't anywhere near spiraling down to the dark place. It was just your average everyday nervousness. He also wasn't used to such a cold air... At least he was outside. He knew that if he stayed in the house he would be hyperventilating at this point and the walls would try to swallow him again... He couldn't deny that there was something calming about this town, now mixed with eerie in the air.
Hayden had to find somebody- Anybody. He looked in the Windows of houses and checked corners of the street. He doesn't dare to actually knock on any of the doors.. He doesn't want to talk, he just wants a proof that everything is okay.
The village itself wasn't huge. But during it's construction, many, many years ago, there was a lack in design and organisation. Homes dotted about wherever. Roads weren't very straight and were always slippy because of the ice. The village center was marked by a building, slightly taller than all the others - the village hall. So, as long as you were to keep walking towards it, you'd get to the center with no problem. Markets were held at in the center. You could also find the elder's home, library, the medicine house and the small, local school for those fortunate to get public education.
During her trek, Kiara noticed very little movement in the usually busy streets. No people. No voices. Not even wind. Her head tilted back, stretching her neck. The sky was now her in her field of view. It wasn't a clear sky, sort of a soft grey color.
'Even the clouds don't appear to be moving.. Maybe it's just me but today has just been really.. weird?'
Confused as he was, and now, also scared, he didn't know what to do, except to keep walking down the streets, which were totally empty. "I know I wanted some alone time......but this is just too much" he tried to retain his calmness. After thinking for some time, he decided to go to library to read some books about it.
