Ilfir said annoyed, "So this is what you meant by being remembered huh?" The look alike mewed and Ilfir said, "THIS THING IS NOTHING LIKE ME!!" And then both him and the look alike proceeded to lick their paws at the same time.

Lucas turned towards Lutos. "Sorry I didn't hear you before, but... I get a bit freaked out when knives are pointed at me I guess I just don't know what to expect when they are. Why?"
"Just a minute Rosaline!" I call to her, waiting for Lutos to answer.

"Ah- I see now." I took the knife and held it. Suddenly a flashback took me over-

Flashback

"Tom! TOM!!" My mom screamed at my father and she drew a knife from her apron pocket. "Now Patty, let's be reasonable here-" "You dare to take my son from me... the son that I birthed?!" "It's all part of the divorce. Now be reasonable or my lawyer will have to-" No more words were said after that, only silence and Mom crying and the sound of blade plunging into flesh repeatedly. I stared into the room as it happened, the murder. Weeks later, she was taken away, the last words I heard being, "I was just trying to protect my baby!! Please!!"


I got a bit woozy and sat down, dropping the knife. "I- I can't wield it. I just can't. Sorry Lutos."

I watched as Lucas dropped Lutos' knife, "Lucas, are you ok?" He didn't answer, he just sat there. I walked up to him, taking the knife from the floor. "Is this knife the problem?", I ask.

Morpheus and Phoebtor both just stared at Lucas, then said.
"You saw that too didn't you Phoebtor, that boy, Lucas' mind. It's broken due to mental abuse, how sad. His mother was so protective, I wish our mother was like that." Said Morpheus.

"Unlike you brother...I found that...Quite hilarious..."

I take a long look at the knife, looking at it on its side ,and looking at the blade. I throw it around a bit. "Looks like it is very well fit for someone who wields shadow magic so you are right on that part but it doesn't have a good reaction with Lucas so it looks like for some reason they aren't compatible," I say handing the knife back to him.

"Well it's sort of complicated but each type of knife has it's specifics, and while yes they should be compatible this particular knife is very challenging when it comes to wielding it," I explain.
