"Ah that makes sense." Max said with a nod. "I wouldn't be
surprised if father hired you without telling sis or me." He
mutters to himself. "Ah just so you know we have company." He said
louder this time before sighing as he heard the commotion
downstairs. "I'll go deal with that."
Z returned Angel back to her pokeball and walked up the stairs and
into a room. She sat down on the bed and picked up her [whatever
people use to talk long distances in unova ;b] and called her
father, N.
"If that's the worst she's done today then I definitely don't
want to know what she usually manages to do..." Tiger responded
unknowingly continuing to speak Pokémon. He crossed his arms
slightly.
"She almost fell off the ferry on the way over." Riu
remembered, crossing his arms. "And before that, she shut the
door on her hand. And three days ago, she--"
"Uh.. Guys.. Tiger?" Mel waved her hand in front of him. "Are you
okay? Are you talking to Riu.. In Pokémon?" She sounded surprised.
Max nods and starts to head down to his father's study. When he
gets there he reaches into the front of his black hoodie and
quickly pulls out the light stone that was attached to a thin black
cord. He places it into a small slot under the doorknob and twists
to the right. He hears a faint click and removes the stone. "There
you go.It should be unlocked for you." He mused as he replaces his
necklace.
Tiger blinded and shook his head clear. He then looked at Riu and
sighed. "I think I should ask you if you're alright? I mean I've
met legends, and almost died in the past...but falling off a ferry
sounds painful" he said instantly trying to change the subject. He
looked slightly defeated, and Cyndaquil hit him in the shoulder.
"Ok fine...yes I was speaking to Riu in Pokémon" he said quickly.
"I knew it!" Mel exclaimed hopping around. She paused and looked at
Tiger. "Have you always been able to do that? That's really cool!
How come you didn't say anything?" She looked slightly hurt, even
though she knew she probably wouldn't have mentioned it either.
"He was?" Riu asked, confused. He hadn't been paying
attention.
Tiger looked slightly uncomfortable and Cyndaquil growled. The
Pokémon then went to use a flamethrower to calm Mel down, but Tiger
returned him quickly. The pokeball Cyndaquil resided in heated up
quickly. "I've been able to do that since I was five" Tiger began
and tossed the burning pokeball in his hand quickly. "I never said
anything about it because I didn't want to draw to much attention
to myself... especially if my Half brother is with Team Rocket" he
finished with a sigh and put the pokeball in his jacket pocket. He
nodded to Riu, and sighed slightly.
Lucy found a few hidden numbers arranged from right to left before
calling the numbers humming wondering if she was calling Max's
father. Hopefully he was team rocket or this would be bad.
Mel quickly calmed down. "Oh. I'm sorry." She said quietly. She
looked at Tiger. "I mean, if it makes you feel any better, the girl
with the Houndoom is my cousin." She sighed. "We got our Pokémon
together, and she always beat me in battles. When Riu learned bone
rush, I started winning and she flipped out on me and ran away."
She shook herself. "I guess that make sure two with family in team
rocket."
