DesertClan (Roleplay)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → DesertClan (Roleplay)Dawnpelt watched the exchange with approval, proud of the apprentice's progress as of late. She would mention her thoughts about his naming ceremony to Flamestar when she saw him next. A motion in the camp wall near the warrior's den caught her eye, and she saw Duskwind emerging, carrying a rabbit. " Why must you come in that way? Use the designated entrance, " she scolded her brother.
Duskwind flinched at Dawnpelt's words, embarrassed to have been caught. Maybe she'll just think I'm being lazy..., he thought as he headed towards the fresh kill pile. He had been to the mountains again early this morning, meeting Hawkpool. He couldn't wait until the next gathering to see her again.
Ashpelt looked over to Duskwind taken aback by the strange smell of the pines he flicked an ear, and shook his head clear when he was knocked to the ground by a bundle of fur. "Got you!" The fur mewled cheerfully. Ashpelt looked up and saw Bramblekit, he flicked a ear, and purred.
"Bramblekit get back in here!" Flowerheart said quickly, and went towards the nursery entrance. "Don't get under the other warriors' paws" she meowed quickly.
Ashpelt looked over, and purred in amusement. He then got up, and gently placed his son in front of him. "You better listen to her, or she'll make you clean your nest again" Ashpelt mewed gently, and nudged his kit back in the direction of the den.
"Aw...but I don't" he began, but was cut off by Ashpelt nosing the kit.
"If you go now. I'll tell you the story of how we found PineClan again" Ashpelt promised. The kit then perked up, and nodded he ran back into the nursery. Ashpelt then laughed, and went back towards Dawnpelt. He saw Flamestar walking out of the leader's den.
Dawnpelt purred as Ashpelt approached her, amused by Bramblekit's endless antics. " He took you down almost too easily, " she teased.
Sunkit stood up as Bramblekit reentered the nursery. " Why did you jump on Ashpelt like that?, " she said, bewildered.
Ashpelt purred in amusement and shrugged. "I was distracted" he meowed warmly, and nudged Dawnpelt warmly. Some of the mud fell off his pelt, and went onto her shoulder. He flicked an ear in embarrassment and licked it off of her quickly.
Flamestar purred in amusement at the two, and sat nearby he waited for them to stop talking.
Bramblekit blinked, and purred. "He wasn't paying attention" he mewled still laughing in enthusiasm. Flowerheart then sighed, and grabbed Bramblekit by the scruff, she licked the mud off his pelt.
"And Dawnpelt won't be to happy if you bring mud into the nest" she meowed softly, and put a paw on his tail as he tried to escape a grooming.
"No I'm being attacked" he squeaked in mock defeat.
Sunkit rolled her eyes and sat somewhere in the nest away from the dirt that had fallen off of Bramblekit. " I just hope mom only yells at you...", she mewed quietly, settling down in a clean spot of moss.
The gray warrior was finished grooming the mud off Dawnpelt, and he was now grooming his own pelt. "It was great. Mudpaw was hiding in some leaf mulch, and she managed to tackle me into the mud" he meowed between licks. "Then Bramblekit tackled me too" he added in joking warmly.
Flamestar purred and nodded "alright we'll hold Mudpaw's warrior ceremony at sun set. Then we're heading to the gathering." He meowed remembering it was full moon.
Bramblekit walked away from Flowerheart when the queen finished grooming him. "Stay away from the Warriors if you're going outside" she warned gently.
Bramblekit nodded, and bounded over to his sister. He then nudged her cheek playfully. "Aw lighten up, Sunkit. I got Ashpelt to tell us a story before he leaves for the gathering tonight" he meowed cheerfully. "He was going to tell the one where they went to PineClan for the first time, but I'm sure you can get him to tell another one" he finished warmly, and smiled. "After all dad can't say no to us when we ask him for a story" he purred.
Greenbush, on the other hand, had already escaped the camp and was moving around the territory, occasionally pausing to grab an extra few herbs. There wasn't much to do, as it had been relatively peaceful as of late, but herbs went bad too.
Sunkit couldn’t help but purr at the thought of hearing her father tell stories. “I like to hear about the story when he first realized he was in love with Mom,” she said, dreamily.
Duskwind carries a rabbit from the freshkill pile over to where Featherwind lay grooming. “ Wanna share?,” he said as he sat down. He began grooming his own fur, removing the scent of pine as much as he could.
Bramblekit nodded, and purred "I'd like to hear that story too" he meowed kindly. He then grabbed some extra moss off the wall of the cave, and put it in the nest as the cold leaf-fall air blew into the den.
Sunkit tucked her paws under her body, curling into a small ball. " It's so cold...does it always feel like this?," She wondered out loud. She had never known a newleaf yet, only what her father had told her about it. She tried to imagine the leaves on the trees, full and green.
