Tigerpaw froze, and shook her head. "N..no Lilypaw-er Lilystream" she began, and snarled Lilystream's new name as she thought of her punishment. "Saw someone...a clanmate, but I didn't get a good look at who, all I remember is a flash of brown fur" she mewed quietly.

Dawnpelt nodded respectfully to Flamestar, both excited and nervous about what this new role would bring to her. I'll just have to do my best..., she thought.

Tigerpaw nodded, and glanced over her shoulder at the gathering clan. Another meeting? she thought to herself before sighing. "I'm not super important to the clan yet, but I think you should tell Flamestar when he's alone. If Sa-er the cat who is working with the rogues figure out what's going on...then their might be trouble. We need to keep them in the clan at the moment in order to keep an eye on them" she meowed softly, and focused on piling up the moss.

Ashpelt looked up from where he was eating a rabbit. He then noticed Flamestar jumping to the boulder once more. "What's going on?" he asked Dawnpelt gently, and licked the traces of rabbit off his whiskers.

Breezetail nodded and uncovered her head, standing up and stretching. "I will. Thanks, Tigerpaw." She meowed, before stepping out of the den. Her fur was still slightly bristled, so she did her best to flatten it down.

Dawnpelt straightened her posture ever so slightly, "You'll see...", she mewed, wryly. She glanced at Breezetail, noticing how unnerved she seemed. Maybe I can do something more to find the traitor..., she thought to herself.

Tigerpaw gathered the moss, and dragged it out of the warrior's den. She then pricked her ears as she listened to Flamestar from the side of medicine cats den. She gathered deposited the dirty moss near a few rocks, and grabbed a few herbs to line Ashpelt's nest in case he was stiff. "Warriors of DesertClan!" Flamestar began boldly. "Warmheart has gone missing, and while she is missing we need a new deputy" he meowed and looked out the camp's den. The moon was above the cave shining the dry forest in silver. "I say these words so StarClan may hear and approve my choice! Dawnpelt you are the new deputy of DesertClan. StarClan honors your bravery, and quick thinking" he meowed and nodded to Dawnpelt.

Ashpelt looked over to Dawnpelt in surprise and purred. He was the first to chant Dawnpelt's name to show he approved of Flamestar's choice. Tigerpaw then joined in quietly.

Dawnpelt beamed at the approval of her clan mates. She hoped to live up to the expectations, and do her best to bring prosperity to Desertclan.

Flamestar nodded, and dismissed the clan once more. He then padded away to his den. "Congrats" Ashpelt meowed kindly, and gently nudged Dawnpelt. Tigerpaw walked past them quietly she tripped over a small root, and dropped a few herbs near Dawnpelt.

Dawnpelt returned the nudge to Ashpelt, and looked at Tigerpaw with surprise, "Tigerpaw, are you alright? Your mind seems...elsewhere, I've noticed, " she said, helping to gather the fallen herbs. "You can talk to me, you know," she urged, looking kindly on the apprentice.

"I-it's a few things...." Tigerpaw began quietly, and sniffed through the dropped herbs. She then clawed a few together. "Lilystream's warrior ceremony....the traitor in the clan, the badger, and the clan possibly getting hurt" she mewled without looking up. "I...I just don't know what to do." she admitted, and sighed.

Dawnpelt lowered herself to be at Tigerpaw's eye level, " It's alright Tigerpaw, most of the clan is worried...", she said as she pushed the remaining herbs into a small pile. " Please, don't be afraid to tell me your concerns. " she mewed.

Dawnpelt was silent for a moment, thinking. "I can't say, I will have to take care to watch our clan mates closely over the next few days...", she said. " You did mention earlier how Sandfeather was out of camp a lot lately," Dawnpelt pointed out, looking at Ashpelt. " Maybe we should keep a close eye on her comings and goings," she decided.

Dawnpelt blinked slowly, " Thank you Ashpelt. Be discrete, I wouldn't want you getting into any trouble...", she said, worried. She scanned the camp to get an idea of who was here and who was not.

Ashpelt nodded, and yawned slightly. He looked over to the camp entrance and saw Lilystream on guard. "I'll be as silent as a mouse as I check this out" he said reassuringly.

Dawnpelt flicked her tail at Ashpelt playfully, and padded towards the warriors den. " Breezetail? Sandfeather? Can you come on Dawn patrol?," she meowed into the den.

Dawnpelt nodded in thanks and settled in her spot in the warrior's den. As she adjusted herself, she found her thoughts going to Tigerpaw. I hope she gets a well needed rest. Starclan, grant her that at least..., she thought as she drifted off to sleep.
