Mel nodded. "A week should be enough. It's not like it'll take us
five days to get one out. Probably. Hopefully. I can start now and
work tonight." She said, pulling out her pokégear and tapping
around on it. It was still a bit cracked from the time she'd
dropped it on Poni. "There's probably a way to get into the
cameras."
Mel shrugged. "It's just a crack, but sure." She said, and passed
it to him. She doubted she would be able to sleep tonight anyway,
she was still home alone for now. She had plenty of reading to
catch up on.
Lion nodded, and pulled out an older model of pokedex. He then took
the screen off the pokedex, and replaced the pokégear screen with
it. Afterwards he opened the camera, and handed it back to Mel.
Mel gaped at him and accepted the pokégear back, staring at it.
"You're my new hero. I love you." She said, and grinned. "Thanks.
It would has taken me years to figure out what to do with it." She
hesitated. "Uhhh.. Now I feel bad. Can I, like, pay you or
something?"
Lion shook his head, and laughed "just annoy Tiger into fixing it
next time it breaks. He keeps old pokedexes in his bag for that
reason but he's more scatter brained than a psyduck..."
Mel laughed and tucked her pokégear back into her backpack. "Of
course he is. Oh well, at least Psyducks have hidden potential."
She said with a faint grin. "But thanks again."
Mel snorted. "The fact that you're absolutely correct is sad." She
said with a smile, holding up her ride pager. Torch appeared after
a few moments and landed on the ground a few feet away. She pulled
herself onto the Charizard and pulled Lucario on in front of her.
As per usual, Mel couldn't help but peer over and down. She would
probably never get over the view.
Torch landed and drew his wings back, allowing Mel and Lucario to
slide off. They did so and Mel offered him a berry. The fire type
accepted before flying away again, and Mel peered up and waved as
he left.
Mel lifted one hand as a greeting, stretching her arms. "Hey,
Tiger, Cyndaquil, Sune, Litten!" She shouted, waving cheerfully.
She wasn't honestly surprised they hadn't gotten into trouble.
Tiger looked over, and swallowed the last of his sandwich. "Hey
Mel!" he said kindly, and smiled. Cyndaquil then ran over to Mel,
and excitedly jumped onto her shoulder.
Mel laughed and reached up to pet Cyndaquil gently. "Heya." She
greeted warmly, and approached them. "You guys had a picnic? Have
you been here since you left?" She asked in surprise, grinning.
Tiger nodded, and smiled as Cyndaquil cheerfully jumped off Mel's
shoulder. "We were taking a break" he explained kindly. Lion
nodded, and crossed his arms.
