After the sudden unexpected death of the former king Inlé-Rah , Mwali , dubbed Frith-Rah by his pride , stepped up to take the throne since Kannapalli , another male , refused. Mwali was raised in secret by his mother , who was afraid of what Inlé-Rah would do if he found out she had a son that was not his. However , Inlé-Rah had proven to not be so evil as they thought. He fell to his death as he was trying to defend Menhit after Apedemak killed her mother , Tefnut.

Now Mwali leads as a gentle , kind leader , who , unlike Inlé-Rah , lets his lionesses free to chose what they want. He earned his nickname thanks to his bright personality. His nickname , Frith-Rah , means Lord Sun. The opposite of Inlé-Rah , which meant Lord Moon.

Unlike Inlé-Rah , Mwali sticks to just one lioness in his pride. His queen , Nyreem-Rah. Although both of them have decided to still help other prides out by providing cubs. Mwali has decided to keep the mighty Lothaire as an ally , despite their personality clashing , as Mwali is more laid back and gentle.

Once night falls , Mwali takes the time to have a conversation with the former kings. He found out that way that this pride had been lead by good lions. First , Nizno , a strict , but loving man. Then , Vervain. A lion who definitely wasn't the brightest. Okay , plain out stupid. And last , Inlé-Rah. Deeply admiring them , he wants the three to live on in memory within the pride. Se he decides to tell their stories. Nizno's story about how he started this pride , his journey until how he got here and eventually passed away without reaching a ripe old age. Vervain's story about how he started the alliance with Lothaire as a young lion , and how he still managed to rule over and defend his pride despite being the laughing stock of many lions. His death was not peaceful , however. And , of course , Inlé's story , about how he came up with the idea of having "Rah" behind every lion's name that had a higher status. How the events surrounding Apedemak made him decide to turn good and how he saw he was starting to turn into a copy of him and wanted to change it. For now , the stories are told like any other , but Mwali is sure that in two or more generations , they will start to become myths of mighty lions that once lived. Holding on to that feeling , he now lives to protect the pride that was once theirs.
