"You sure?" Troye asked, moving his arm so the umbrella was over her head since she had moved. "I think Arch likes her." Lise said. "Why else would he go after her? Besides, he's seemed especially protective of her." She then looke over at Troye and chuckled.

"Yeah I guess I got one," Arch answered her first question. He looked at Izzy and felt a pang of... hunger? No, it couldn't have been hunger. It must've been just his thoughts, right? Arch turned away from her quickly.

"Those are both super true. I've been wondering why I've been pulling hearts more often." Myra said. "Arch does seem really protective, but Izzy is independent. Rosa seems easily flustered but wants to do things herself, while Troye is always looking out for people.

"Heh. Good for you, then." Izzy smiled, still facing towards the exit.

Arch was silent, unable to think of anything to talk about because he was thinking of something else. I'm probably just hungry for food. I can't eat humans, i'm not like my relatives, he thought.

Seeing that the rain wasn't letting up, Izzy rested her head on the side of the wall and fell into a light sleep.

When Arch turned to see Izzy asleep, he thought about leaving the cave. Should I be an idiot and get sick for this? Probably. Is it worth getting scolded by Izzy? Probably not, Arch thought before making up his mind and looking around for anything to make a track of.

Arch picked up vibrantly colored pebbles, hoping it would be enough. Putting on the hood of his cloak again, he quietly left the cave so that Izzy wouldn't wake up. Setting one pebble on the ground in front of the cave, he continued to walk in the rain, setting down more pebbles on the way.

Arch knew that they never took any turns so he hoped he could get back by walking in one direction.
