"Hm. Well, he's ok. Moody, snapish, miserable, but hasn't killed anyone recently. He's either somewhere in the forest or on another planet. Not sure which." Lyth replies.

"For Pastel that's true. But Beyond? It more of a response triggered automatically. Something threatens him and he immediately turns to fighting, even if he doesn't want to, which he doesn't. He thinks it makes him too much of his father. He's getting better about it, but... he's still aggressive." Lyth replies.

"Beyond tries. He tries so hard. I've been helping him for years and I've seen him progress, but it's not enough. He sleeps, he eats, he does everything fine. But he struggles to contain the monster his father created." Lyth replies softly. "The way I found him... he's never lost that broken look in his eyes. Ever since our first encounter I've seen his soul in his eyes and it's like it's shattered. I don't know how to fix him."

"I can't let Beyond lose hope. Hope is new to him, it's fragile in his fingers, and if he loses it completely... I'm not sure Beyond will ever be the same. I don't want to change Beyond. I just want him to understand he doesn't have to hide behind thorns and anger all the time." Lyth says.
