-I'm busy, ok? I have school and stuff so I might be late putting up contests, auctions, etc. So please, be patient with me.

-Be kind to one another please? I don't want others to be driven away because of arguments and such.
-Follow form when applying. You don't have to have your Malia on hand at the moment or anything, but do please fill out the parts of the form you can.
-This group may close for certain lengths of time and this can be because of many things. We may have too many people not enough mods, or I may be super busy with something, but regardless, I WILL TRY AND KEEP THIS GROUP EXPANDING FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE! This goes back to the "please be patient" rule.
-Don't have any art skill but want a Malia? Not a problem! Art skill doesn't matter here! I also occasionally will hold auctions. But you can ask others (anyone that's open for designing) or even me to design one! (Not that you want my trashy art, haha). Want to join in contests too? Contests are judged by creativity, not the skill level! Pour your heart and soul into something and it might just win!
-As Admin of this group I promise that contests will be judged fairly and without bias. I will do my best to support everyone here and keep this all running smoothly. Mods will try to help too.
-Any art/ideas about Malia's can be put here! Discuss it! Shape it into something beautiful! Please don't get super off-topic though.
-Everyone can start with TWO MALIA and each may get ONE ORDINARY ACCESSORY (meaning it isn't magic or anything.)
-More will be added if needed.

So far, four types of Malia have been found. All Malia are feline/canine based and seem to be centered around elements. Unlike most mammals, Malia lay eggs. They do raise their young, however, and often live alone or in pairs in the wild. Features, such as color and design, separate them.


WATER
Primarily with fur colors ranging from dark blue to turquoise to sea green, these Malia are used to beaches, sunshine, and plenty of water. They can be found anywhere with it, lakes, rivers, ocean, even during heavy rainstorms! They're normally thin and streamline for swimming, with slightly bigger paws and bushy tails. Their ears droop back sometimes to make them swim even faster, and their tail is used to steering.


FIRE
Similar to water Malia, fire Malia have bushy tails and thinner bodies. They do, however, come in vastly different colors, like red, orange, yellow, or even dark brown. Another difference lies in the ears, which have tufts of fur unique to fire Malia. Their paws are also normal size. Fire Malia frequent warm places, where they can lay in the sun and let their fur catch the heat.


PLANT
These little Malia are usually smaller than the other kinds. They come in all sorts of exotic colors, in arrays of pink, green, yellow, orange, blue, red, purple, every color you could think of except black, white, brown, and gray. They sometimes have smaller, bobbed tails, or if it is longer, it's not bushy like the fire and water Malias are. Instead, it's more cat-like and slender. Sometimes they'll have plants growing in their fur, and they tend to roam around forests and grasslands. Occasionally they can be found in a flower-filled garden!


AIR
Air Malia are usually bigger than plant, but smaller than fire and water. Many of them have wings, and sometimes the wings aren't even connected to their body, but hovering over it! They are the only known Malia that can have no tail at all, and when they do have a tail it's similar to the plant Malias tails, either thin and long or bobbed and fluffy. Air Malia come in all sorts of pale blues, grays, and whites/creams. All of them can fly (except for newly hatched) and they can be found basically in any open space, looping in circles up above.

Now that we have four people with Malia, it's time for our first contest! Only those with *MALIA REFERENCES* may enter! When you've finished a piece of art, you can just submit it on this thread saying it's for the Spring Art Contest. You can enter more than one piece of art to better your chances, but you will not get two prizes, to make it fair. Have fun!

Meanwhile, our first cross-breed Malia, Exotic, has had three healthy eggs! This is her last, and only successful, litter of Malia, so she's planning on giving them to upstart Malia-lovers when they come of age to leave the den. The three young Malia, however, may not be exactly normal...
