"Most of the time we sleep for about 5-6 earth days, but only 1 of
our days." Min replies.
"Well, dreamscapes can be connected, Shared, with people you're
close with. Everyone has a dreamscape, everyone dreams. Being a
Dreamist is a power of its own, technically." Galaxy says. "Geez,
this place is messy."
Nyx hums slightly."Is there a way to lock your dreams?Say you have
one that you don't wish anyone to see if they somehow come into
your dreamscape.Could you prevent them from doing so?"She asks
while running a hand gently over one of the filing cabinets. She
frowned a little bit before removing her hand though.
Galaxy presses a hand against one of the doors, her eyes filling
with a sad dark brown. "If only there was, Nyx. If only there was a
way to keep yourself from dreams you don't want to see anymore. But
no matter how hard you hope and wish and beg, you can't keep away
your bad dreams." The wood under her fingers seems to hum ever so
slightly.
"I see."Nyx whispers softly.She could understand that feeling.There
were many dreams she wished she could just light on fire and
pretend they never exsisted.
"Dreamscapes are full of all sorts of stuff." Galaxy says, turning
away from the door, eyes shifting back to blue-gray with bits of
feral yellow. "Memories, thoughts, ideas, secrets, information,
everything that makes the dreamer, well, them. This is mostly
memories here, happy stuff."
"I take it the mindscape is the road between the dreamscape and
reality then?"Nyx asked with a tilt to her head."Is there a way for
one to enter their own dreamscape without the help of a dreamist?"
"You enter your dreamscape every night, you just forget. Dreamists
have the ability to mold it, shape it to they're will, and
remember. I come here when I sleep too. There's always a new place,
a new dream. We always have our... default ones..." her eyes shift
to more of a weary and sad dark gray. "But we always get new ones.
The dreamscape expands constantly."
"If you don't mind me asking why have humans come in to help
you? From the sounds of it a dreamist would be a better bet to help
you with your problem."Nyx asked.
"Dreamists can't get into the dreams. We tried... at first. We lost
one. Her name was Cilia. She saw something in the dreams, something
no one else saw, but she died before she even woke up. I crashed
here a few years ago, that's what got the humans involved. Almost
every alien species can send out a dream response, a cry for help.
I... sent mine. The one who got it... he saved me, but the humans
wanted to know more about it. I fled, like I'd done so many times.
Then when I crashed here again, I found out the humans had be
monitoring the dream responses, the Cries, they called them. That's
when the disappearances started." Galaxy replies. "If I hadn't sent
mine, we may have never known aliens were going missing. I think of
it as a little way I've repaid the universe."
Nyx blinked a few times."I see."She mutters."How long have we been
in your dreamscape?I get the odd feeling if we are in here any
longer Miss Amby will have our heads."She says while scratching at
her neck.
"Amby wouldn't dare touch me. She loves me in her own little way,
plus I think she feels bad for me. Anyways, in the real world,
we've only been here..." she checks her watch. "Minute and
twenty-three seconds."
Nyx nods her head in agreement. She accidentaly brushed her right
hand against a filing cabinet."It's also odd though."She says with
a frown as she rubbed her thumb and index finger together.
