Pearl stops, and so does Aerial up ahead. Both Pokemon's ears twitch like radars trying to pick up any sounds.

"What did you hear?" Pearl asks, slightly concerned for the group's safety.

Speck was secretly following Ace and he sure wasn't intimidated. "Ace, hold on," Speck whispered, revealing himself from behind the bushes. Out of all the times he was serious, he was the most serious this time. It was also the only time he was serious.

Flare was overly angry when she figured out Speck wasn't at the Youngsters Den. "Where the heck are you Speck?" Flare mumbled.
