Ricky pulled himself out. And looked around, "So he built this trap
to capture you and Death, but Avalina and I are just here. So
question. Why was there a water pipe for me to break in the woods?"
"Great question. And i have a great answer. This actually is the
Enchanted Forest. Which would explain the pipe, because they use it
so their young and old dont have to travel far for water. But that
being said, if this is the Enchanted Forest, where is the
protector? And even better question, why not use an illusion? The
answer being, it also thought i'd bring Foxia, who can see through
illusions. Which brings up another question, why? Why does it want
me, Rebel, Death, and Foxia in the same place?" Zorra says.
"It seems I can go ten feet into hell. Meaning while prepared, not
that prepared. So be right back." Ricky called entering hell. Odd a
magic wall was ten feet in. He couldn't cross and the man on the
other end couldn't. Shouldn't. But he did get to Ricky.
"Rebel, everything you know on thought-beings." Zorra says
suddenly, eyes flicking open.
"They used to be powerful creatures that were destroyed in some
way. Their power allowed them to stay alive, or close enough to
alive, but they dont have physical forms and can not possess unless
given permission to enter the body and take control. They can not
be sensed at all, and normally cant do much harm. Normally." Rebel
replies.
"Uhm...magic wall...portal...how did you do it Houdini?" Ricky
asked.
"You've heard of me?" the man asked.
"It is an expression! You are Houdini?" Ricky asked in surprise.
"Avalina, check around the forest, see if anything out of the
ordinary is here. Rebel, you too." Zorra says, and the two girls
walk off. "Alright. Thought-being. Whats your name?" Zorra pauses,
waiting, wondering if it will answer.
"Saei." It whispers, but this time, aloud, though theres no one
else but Zorra to hear it.
"Saei. That means i dont know in ancient. You dont know your own
name?"
There is no answer this time, just a gentle breeze murmuring
through the trees.
"So, uhm...escaping. Anything to teach me?" Ricky asked.
"Well...keep my legacy alive and sure." Houdini replied.
"What if I used the skills to beat monsters?" Ricky asked.
"Done."
Ice surrounded Ricky again and he nodded once before being encased.
"Why do you want to trap me? And Death. And Rebel. And Foxia. Who
killed you? Who do you want revenge on? How are we important?"
Zorra asks.
"Clear as crystal, pure as snow, cold as both, who would have
known." The voice whispers. "Red as blood, black as night, green as
poison, white as light."
"That doesnt answer my question."
"Does it?" The voice murmurs, wind stirring around Zorra's ankles.
"Shut it. Seriously. Now isnt the time." She pauses, thinking.
"Earlier you said something about the ones with ink that tells time
and dreams to alter universes. What does that mean? Where can i
find them?" Zorra says.
The voice is silent for a long time. Then it murmurs. "The Inkling
is hidden among the wolves, the Dreamling is hiding from her
monsters. They will both find you in time."
"Ricky. Leonidas." The voice whispers. "You can escape. She cannot.
You have potential, however. You're a little more complex than the
Normal." A soft wind swirls around him.
"Ricky, choose your next words very carefully." Zorra says.
Ricky bowed politely, "I am honored one as strong as you even
thinks to call us by name. Surely you are indeed kind. Especially
to Leonidas. Rarely is he called by name. Thank you."
"Excuse me, but since you are wise, much wiser than me, what do you
mean by attachment? If you don't want to talk I understand it is
because I am lowly compared to you." Ricky said.
"By attachments i mean someone you truely love and would die for. I
sense nothing of the sorts on you. Except maybe something close to
love, but its gone now. Someone you once tried to love, perhaps?"
The voice asks.
