Enigma and a girl with medium hair dyed in a variety of blues and
purples that zigzag across each other appear in the middle of the
room. The girl, Ziggy, materializes her own chair and sits,
inspecting her colorful fingernails with pale purple eyes.
"She's in a mood." Enigma sighs, going to lean on Jigsaw's chair.
Iara appears, along with a bird similar to an eagle, but with
colorful swirls and patterns all across her feathers.
"Ardona and Iara. Wonderful. What places do you have on this
matter?" Roan asks.
"Saving judgement until both arguments are made." Iara replies,
landing on the back on Nova's chair with Ardona.
Rings appears next, along with Pompeii who both sit quietly. Lucky
appears right after, her pure white fur spotless, and her collar of
clovers glowing faintly.
"Nova is elected for the side against Arcane, and Jigsaw for the
opposing side." Roan says, closing his eyes. A blue star the color
of his eyes glows to life on his forehead for a moment. "Nova, you
may begin."
"Arcane is from a dangerous line, agreed?" Nova starts. "I mean,
take a look at Jigsaw, or Charlotte, or even Spirit and Hour. All
have played or will play major roles in events that were
fundamentally important to our goal. However, unlike her siblings,
Arcane has turned away from the side of the Council in universal
matters and has joined with an old and powerful species of
thought-being. Nostalgia has many enemies, and bides her time for
revenge. I fear she will take it when the time is right, using
Arcane's already astounding abilities to her advantage. I do not
agree with Royal completely. It is not right to contain her in a
way as insanity-inducing as what she suggested. However, at the
very least, Nostalgia and Arcane should be seperated, and Nostalgia
dealt with. If at all possible, we ensure Arcane does not disrupt
our system any more than she has previously, in humane means, of
course."
Roan nods. "Convincing case, Nova. May the stars agree with your
judgement."
Ricky stood, "First ugh politics. Two sorry for getting rough.
Three, their is no denying Arcane's power is great and yes you can
try to stop, but you are going in knowing she has your weakness and
should you rail to separate them, she will kill you guys. I propose
we create a team to watch her. Jigsaw can be on the team being her
twin. Arcane won't hurt Charlotte so there is another. I can go toe
to toe with both in my human form. We can have others monitor her
as well. If she acts like a threat we strike. If she doesn't we
keep monitoring. Both sides win. Sound cool?"
"You severly underestimate Nostalgia, Ricky. Dont you think we've
tried monitoring her? Jigsaw managed to get her scar, and Fex was
found dead. Charlotte doesn't need any direct contact with her
sister, and with all due respect, we're unwilling to trust you."
Nova replies. "And if we choose to seperate them, there is someone
who can do it." She turns her gaze.
"Vinna's death was Royal's choice and Royal's choice alone." Nova
replies calmly. "Roan, can we get back on topic please."
"Ah, yes. Jigsaw, your turn."
"Arcane is no doubt a threat. She's confident enough in her
abilities to be dangerous on her own, and the fact her powers can
back up her confidence makes it worse. She reduced the Council to
tatters when she was 12, and killed a stage 13 guardian at around
the same time no easier than killing a defenseless cat. She is
gifted. However, she was young, and she was confused. Her mind
worked faster than everyone else around her, including her own
family, and it made her like an outcast. Is the information she
keeps is harmful to us and the universe as a whole? Yes. Is she
capable of killing a good third of the Council before anyone could
even come close to stopping her? Completely. But she won't.
Nostalgia, as much as I hate to say it, has changed. All Arcane
wants is to stay quiet and undisturbed. We have no right to mess
with that." Jigsaw says.
"May the stars agree with you, then, Jigsaw." Roan says.
"As I've said, we have someone who can go against Arcane and win
quickly." Nova replies.
"Really, stop looking at me like that, Nova. Im only doing it if
the entire Council decides." Enigma says, earning a whack from
Jigsaw. "Hey! I have to!"
"Send all votes to me, please, now." Roan says. After a moment he
continues. "Ardona, Rings, and Pompeii for Nova, Ghiriet, Moon,
Iara, Enigma for Jigsaw. Ziggy?"
Ziggy's ice-cold gaze lifts to Roan. "I propose another idea. I
propose we get the information we've needed from her. While no one
will support me with this idea, I just want everyone to think on
it. You understand why I can not pick sides."
"All right, then, I suppose Jigsaw wins this time." Roan says, not
the slightest bit unnerved by Ziggy's startling gaze. Iara, Rings
and Enigma, however shift uncomfortably, as if they dont want that
gaze on them.
"So when is the next meeting. It would be easier than me becoming
invisible and warping in." Ricky replied, "Also means I won't make
a scene when entering."
