Avalina practically is shaking with supressed anger. "You think im a brat. Brat?!" She slips a knife out of a hip sheath.

"Li-n-a!" Jaxin says.

Daphnes took one look at the knife and felt her anger, that was boiling. With a sigh he fainted.

"Lina! Knife. Away. Now!" Jaxin says, wings half unfolding in his anger.

Avalina sighs and slips the knife away.

"Linaaaaaa!"

"Yes, i know i messed up."

"You made a newbie faint! Lina, you're lucky im not telling Zorra!"

"Wake him up already, Jax." Avalina sighs.

Jaxin gives her a small glare, then snaps his fingers, waking Daphnes.

Daphnes woke up, he shook his head and looked up. "I'm sorry. The fainting is a self-defense mechanism, kind of like an opossum's self-defense." He then explained to them.

"He's a Dream Wolf, only a few months old. Dream, the Nightmare Fox, treats him like her own son. Lina doesnt like him because she doesnt like his playfulness and his loyalty and stuff." Jaxin says.

"Call him and i wont hesitate to murder this newbie."

"You wouldnt murder him. Kanin!" Jaxin calls.

A little dark gray wolf skids to a stop in front of Jaxin. His eyes are bright amber, and cream swirls trace his legs.

"Sure, Kanin wont bite. He's like Dream, the sweetest little thing you'll ever meet."

Kanin yips happily and leaps at Daphnes, jumping much higher than thought possible by the little creature, and landing is his arms.

"Well, not everyone. Death is probably training with Sum and Win. Rebel is around somewhere, probably reading or something. Avalina and I were talking and studying because someone has a test coming up on Enfields." Jaxin pokes Avalina's shoulder.

"I live with an Enfield. I think I'll be fine."

"Sum is a strict teacher. You get one wrong, and Win will be the one to punish you." Jaxin replies, making her flinch.

Kanin paddles his front feet and barks at Sum and Win's name.

"Not until later. And your first tests will be easy. I think you start with common creatures. Dragons, phoenixs, unicorns, pegasi. Then you move up to amphiteres and drakes and stuff. Then things like nightmare foxes, things from other worlds. And you finish off with hybrids and the lesser known creatures. Im only on creatures from other worlds. Lina's on lesser knowns. Sum and Win can be a little strict, but nothing beats their teaching. Seasons are always the best teachers." Jaxin replies.

"Hes thinking about getting his mythical creatures book. It wont help."

"Oh yeah, half the time, those books are wrong. And they dont have forgotten creatures like Enfields and ghost deer. We have a library though, so thats always there for you." Jaxin says.

(Zorra, Demon, and one of my minor characters, plus Ricky and Jack, are off on a distress call. Jaxin and Avalina are just talking to Daphnes. Death has made Ricky and a few others fight another minor character, Dream. Im really bad at recaps.)
