Grey whined, reaching up to try to grab his hat. He didn't put
forth much effort, seeing as he didn't have the energy. He shoved
his hands into his hoodie pockets. "Fine... Just give me my hat..."
He said in a tired tone, his voice almost a whimper.
Maya was late, she had actually sleeped like a log and she was
hurrying towards the cafeteria, she didn't notice but she was still
in her pyjamas, she only managed to brush her hair neatly in her
hurry, she reached the cafeteria and before entering slowed down
her pacem she entered and smiled "Good morning everyone, s-sorry
I'm late"
Grey grabbed Chris's arm, pulling it down enough to snatch it up.
"Thanks... I'll be going to my room, sorry... I'll make your
smoothie later..." He sighed, setting his hat back on his head. He
travelled down the halls, sighing. He was wearing pajamas with a
hat. He had on sweatpants and a black t-shirt, with a black scarf.
He always wore scarves, even he was sleeping. He rubbed his eyes,
getting to his dorm. He opened the door, closing it behind him.
Alois watched as Greyson walked into the dorm room. He
didn't feel the need to say anything so he just closed his eyes and
continued to lay in comfortable silence, rolled up in his bed's
bed-sheets. I wonder when we're starting our mission? Or maybe
we're all just heading to our dorms? I need to stop asking
questions, Jesus. he was deep in thought. After a long,
uncomfortable silence he said "Welcome back." with a monotone
expression. That didn't sound very welcoming. It probably didn't
look very welcoming either. Whoops. he thought, internally
panicking.
"Hiya." Grey hummed, taking off his Tshirt to show chest bandages.
He sighed, and pulled back the covers on his bed. He slid into the
bed, and grabbed his Sherlock and John plushies. They made him
sleep better, and he found it ironic. He had become a detective
because of the show. Sherlock was one of his favorites... But he
(sadly) couldn't be a timelord. He stared at the ceiling, clutching
the plushies.
Maya went and sat on a table which was a little far from the
others, she felt that she will be disturbing the others if went and
sat just like that, she then got up and got something to eat
walking back to her table and sitting as she ate 'ah, i wonder how
the next case we will have is going to be like, please don't let it
be too blood involved'
(lol i dozed off earlier, that's why i didn't reply as quickly of
chris giving the hat back XP)
chris blinked as he stood there after grey got his hat back and
sighed, heading off to his dorm, turning his phone on so he could
listen to his music again while he walked down the silent hall's,
humming to himself quietly. well that was nice of me, never giving his hat back and zoning
out... great job chris, nice way to try and make friend's, even
with knowing the guy already after joining this detective
place.. he thought to himself, shaking his head a bit.
Maya had finished eating and then when she realized she was still
in her pyjamas, she got up and walked out of the cafeteria on her
way to her dorm trying not to look awkward 'nice thing you did
Maya, what if the ones who saw you like this think that you're not
serious about your work?' She thought
Hiroto paused for a second before frowning, looking the
teen over. "You've come to the right place then, this building
belongs to the team. I don't know how you overlooked that, but if
you wish to introduce yourself to the others, perhaps the cafeteria
would be the best place." He didn't particularly want to go
through this currently, but he had nothing better to do. Walking
out of the door and into the hallway, he gestured for the teen to
follow. "I hope you don't mind if I guide you there. It takes a
while to get used to." With that he continued to walk for a bit
before pausing. "Hiroto, pleasure to meet you."
"Jack, nice to meet you too." He shook the other person, Hiroto's,
hand. He tried to keep the clueless look on his face. "So what
exactly do you do here?" He asks.
"So, how are you doing?" Alois asked awkwardly. He wasn't
usually up for conversation, but he could make an exception with
the detective team. Teammates should communicate among each other.
It's my fault my social skills suck though. At least here I have
a chance to improve them some. "To be honest, I wasn't
expecting you back so soon." he added, laughing shakily before
pulling the bed-sheets closer to his body.
"I'm fine..." Grey mumbled, but laughed softly at the words. "Oh,
yeah. I got forced into coming back to sleep for 'being up too
often'... Bleh." Grey sighed, putting up air quotations with his
thin fingers. He sighed, snuggling deeper into the bed and holding
the stuffed people tightly. They smelled like chocolate and
peppermint, making him feel all... Christmas-y. He blinked, but his
lip to stifle a yawn.
"Sleep is for the weak. I'm a night-owl." Alois grinned.
"Although, I do try and get enough sleep so I don't faint from
sleep deprivation. That would suck. Very much so." his smile faded.
"I accidentally made that mistake once, I fainted when I was at
work. An ambulance came. They didn't find anything wrong with me.
So they say that it could be from exhaustion. I had a good few
hours of sleep afterwards and I was fine. Unique experience
though."
"Oh, I see. I get about... An hour of sleep at night, then I'm up
and unable to fall back asleep. I have terrible insomnia. I get up
at midnight for absolutely no reason... Make breakfast at 2:00, and
other things like do laundry and dishes. It passes time." Grey
hums. This was one of the most tired moments he'd had, and he
rubbed his eyes. He shifted, rolling into his side. He ground his
teeth together softly.
"At least you're being productive. I'd probably be reading
webcomics or watching videos on youtube." Alois replied. "I worry
about my laundry and dishes whenever it gets out of hand. Haha,
that's so bad now that I say it out loud." he continued on. He was
quite enjoying the small talk they were having.
He felt pricks go up his arm as Jack gripped his hand, but
managed a rough smile. "As you may already know, we specialize
in detective work. If someone were to go missing, get murdered, or
something among those lines, we would get called in. It doesn't
happen very frequently though, which is a downside. I'm guessing
your interested in applying? Or perhaps you have, for you seem to
be hiding something." Sure, he could be clueless on some
things, but most of the team could have spotted the facade he had
going on.
"Haha. I just do it because everyone else is to lazy to. I'm
apparently the "mom member". When I get some with that I look up
try not to laughs and other crap though. You should see by search
history at 3:00 AM." Grey laughed, scratching the back of his neck.
He sighed, licking his dry lips and biting his tongue lightly.
"Now you've got me intrigued. What exactly are you
searching at three in the morning? You naughty boy, nothing too
dirty I hope." Alois laughed, sounding a lot less anxious than he
was before.
"A-ah! No!!" Grey blushed, and laughed, his voice cracking and
breaking slowly. "It's really just 'If I make a milkshake, will
random boys come to my yard?' and 'Were the SpongeBob Characters
inspired by anything?'. Turns out, the answer to both is yes... But
I didn't really need google to figure out the first one." Grey
hummed, and let out a laugh. 'My Milkshake Brings All The Boys To
The Yard' blared in his mind as he stifled another laugh.
(*is just silently dying from laughter in background*)
chris continued to wander through the hall's before he was outside
on the front ground's and went to sit of a bench, sipping his coat
up and putting his hood up over his head as he enjoyed the sound of
his music through his earbud's, not seeming to be too bothered by
the cold.
he hummed to himself quietly and stared up at the sky, which was a
surprisingly eye achingly bright clear sky blue, even if it was the
winter season.
