Um, I'm gonna have to go with no support, sorry.

There was a couple user-made "newspapers", the latter being the original, but it seems they've since became inactive.

If someone hatches a Shiny Mega, they tend to post a feed about it and it generally gets a lot of attention by all the comments, easily becoming one of the Most Commented Feeds on the Notification Wall and other users will post feeds about it as well.

And there typically aren't new moderators also or staff members at all to be honest. There are Moderator Applications, but they really only open up maybe once annually. After a certain amount of time, all the applicants are evaluated by the quality of their application and may or may not make it to the next round, where (I believe) they are individually evaluated to see who possibly could be "the best of the bunch" and a few users are then picked to be Mod(erator)s-in-Training. After a trial as a MiT, the Moderators then discuss who should be promoted to full-Moderator, who should be demoted back to a normal user and who should be given an "extended trial" to see which of the two they should be in. This takes months.
The same goes for Wiki Helper Applications, being that they seem to only open once annually (but maybe not this year ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) and I believe Artists & Spriter applications only open when there's a need for more of them.
