[Let's begin!]

Lucius was working his usual morning shift at the local Starbucks which was inside a Barnes and Noble bookstore. He absolutely loved it here, they had an almost endless supply of books varying from erotic romance novels to large shelves of action packed manga. A drink the mortals call coffee is pretty popular as well, which he didn't see why at first. But once it reached his lips he knew why the mortals loved it so. You could even use something called creamer to change the flavor! So that's how he began working at Starbucks. He also got to meet a lot of mortals, oh he mean't "humans" here as well, some of them had dyed hair, while some of them had tattoos or even piercings. The possibilities were seemingly endless.

A tall man with chocolatey brown hair came forward after spending a few good minutes staring at the menu above his head. "I'd like to order a tall iced coffee, please." the man spoke. "Sweetened or unsweetened?" the angel asked, his voice soft and melodious. The man was taken back by the sound of his voice "S..sweetened, sir." he said, stuttering on his own words. "Alright.. anything else?" he asked. "No.." the man replied, "Okay your total is... y'know what? I'm in an awfully good mood today. So this one's on the house. Enjoy." he winked. The man didn't say anything, he just took his drink and left. While he was in a good mood today, that was the last order he was taking before his shift was over. 'Phew.. this is exhausting.. well, at least it's over. Maybe I'll at a browse around the store..' he thought.

"Hey Lucius? Did you just give that man a free drink back there?" he heard his boss's voice behind him. 'Annoying..' he thought. He was caught in the act. "Yes.. I did ma'am. But you didn't see anything. I'm finished with my shift, I'm going go browse around the store, and you didn't see anything." he said with a charming grin. "Yes.. I didn't see anything. You're free to go Mr. Hart." the woman said, as if she was in a trance. "Great, I'll see you tomorrow." he took off his apron and set it on the coutner. Then left to one of the book shelves on the far right.

"Too easy.." his said in a whisper, dashing in between two shelves. A book with a flashy red cover caught his eye, as he removed it from the shelf and buried his nose in it.

Aimee was sitting at the Starbucks bar, sipping her drink. White Chocolate Mocha, Extra Cream. She had been watching that man with white ((I'm guessing)) hair serving people. She watched him give a free drink and assure his boss. He seemed eager to head to bury is head in a novel. Heck, who wouldn't. Aimee pushed a piece of hair behind her ear, and took another sip of her mocha. She looked back down at her book, smiling. Her smile was soon replaced with an 'O' as her jaw dropped. She continued reading with frantic eyes as she chewed her lip. The scene was making her sad, angry in a way.

Grey stared at the scene before him. Elijah and a blonde, who's name was unknown to him, kissing. Her arms were wrapped around his neck, her hands entangled in his blonde locks. He held her by the waist, the way he holds Grey. Grey hadn't realized he was crying til he felt a tears drop from his chin into the floor. Elijah pulled away from the girl, smiling at her with the list and love he usually saved for Grey. Elijah suddenly seemed to notice Grey, and his eyes were wide. They stared into each other's eyes- blue on green- until three more tears slipped from Grey's eyes. "Gre-!" Elijah didn't get the words out before Grey turned and ran out of the Drama room. He sprinted through the halls to the men's bathroom, collapsing after entering and locking a stall. He leaned against the wall, sobbing. Why would Eli do that...? Grey thought he was in love with Eli...

Aimee felt herself become emotional. She always felt for the main character, and she felt her own tears drip down her cheeks before she mopped them up. She felt dumb, stupid for crying in public.

[Ten brownie points for you if you can guess what book this is lol.]

After reading two chapters of the book, he loved it. The main character starts of going to a club with her friend, being the curious little bugger she is she follows a boy dressed in black clothing. Only to find them about to kill another human, or so she thought. Turns out that human was actually a demon, and attacked them. The boy then killed the demon, turns out the boy had angel blood in him. And exterminated demons for a living. He found the book surprisingly accurate. 'I wonder who wrote this.' he thought, looking for the author's name. 'Clare? Wait, that's her last name.' he thought, well, he could always look it up on the internet. What a interesting tool it is, you can find the most obscure things on there. He walked away from the shelves, making his way towards the front of the store.

He spotted a red-headded human reading a book, she was crying as well. Crying? Lucius walked up to Aimee "Hey, are you alright?" he asked, he didn't know what to do with his face. His facial expression was both of concern and surprise. He didn't expect a human girl to be so emotional towards an animate object. "Do you need a tissue or anything?"

((IMMORTAL INSTRUMENTS??))

Aimee jumped at the book and looked up. "Oh, yeah. I'm fine, sorry. This book just had a very sad twist. Thank you for the concern, though." She spoke politely, her voice sweet and young sounding. She pushed up her glasses, smiling. She slid the bookmark into the novel, and shut it. She combed her hair back, putting it into a messy bun. She thought she may be able to talk with the young man more, so she grasped her drink and turned the chair to face him. She sipped the drink, sweet taste filling her mouth. She swallowed lightly, licking a bit from the corner of her mouth. She smiled up at him, and beckoned him to sit down silently.

[Ten brownie points for you!]

'A sad twist?' Lucius thought. He noticed two things, a British accent, and the yellow streaks in her hair as well. "Thank you for your concern though." he managed to hear her say, despite tuning out all the voices around the room. He didn't expect her to thank him, humans were always surprising him in the most weirdest ways "Oh no, it's no big deal.. I guess I was just very curious as to why you would be crying out in public." 'Do all human girls do this?' he thought, if they did he didn't know what to think about that. 'Probably not try and get on their bad side.' he said mentally, before he noticed Aimee beckoning him to sit down in the other chair. "Oh, okay." he muttered, sitting down. "So, what's your name?" he asked, setting his book on the table, his piercing yellow eyes scanning the girl. As if he was analyzing her every move. 'She said the book she's reading had a sad twist, I wonder what she mean't by that..' he thought.

Aimee smiled softly, sipping her drink again. "Oh, yeah... I know it's weird..." She responded softly. Her ears perked when he asked for her name. No one ever wanted to interact with her a lot... Much less get to know her. She pushed a few stray strands of hair behind her ear with a finger, glancing away. "Um, I'm Aimee. What's your name?" She questioned him, tilting her head. Her accent tangled her words, and she blushed lightly.

"No, I don't think it's weird. It's just a bit questionable." Lucius said. "My name? Well, I don't get asked that question a lot. Actually, I never get asked that question." he replied, remembering what it was like back in heaven, his home realm. Everyone knew him, and he knew everyone. How boring it was. "I'm Lucius Hart. But you can just call me Lucius." he gave her a warm smile. 'She's kinda cute... wait, what am I thinking? Stop it Lucius, you're supposed to act more proper.' he mentally scolded himself. Developing feelings for a human girl was not on his bucket list.

Aimee smiled, soft and sweet. "Lucius. That's a very nice name." She said politely. She pushed up her glasses again, and pulled on her hoodie sleeves. She gave him a smile, showing her white teeth. It was genuine. Odd for a girl like her. "Anyway, what are you doing here? Like, other than books?" She sighed lightly, her hair falling back into her face. She blowed it back, and pushed it behind her ears again.

"Oh, you think so?" he responded. "Well, I think Aimee is a nice name as well." he commented. "Anyway, what are you doing here? Like, other than books?" he heard her say, he then laughed "It's a bookstore, what else is there to do?" he grinned. "Well, other than books. I work at the Starbucks here. I can enjoy a cup of coffee and read all the books I want, hell, I even get payed for all the labor. But I guess all jobs are supposed to pay you. It's a paradise for me, I suppose." he replied, his smile not vanishing from his face.

Aimee nodded, blushing lightly at the name compliment. "Oh, I see. That's part of the reason I work at the library on my school's campus. You get paid, and can read books on the job." She agreed. She tugged on the sleeves of her sweaters, and sipped her drink. She smiled softly, a thin line of cream on her upper lip.

"Oh? Sounds like you have a lot of fun." Lucius replied. "Well, I don't really go to a school. I guess you can say I've already graduated." he smirked. "Being an adult isn't that much fun, which is why I pleasure myself with books, and other fun activities. I guess you can say being a responsible adult isn't really in my nature, haha."

"Ah, I see. I'm on my final year of college." Aimee laughed lightly, rubbing the back of her neck. "I would be a very responsible adult either..." She sighed, smiling. She lick the top of her lip, getting the cream off. She giggled softly, twirling her hair softly around her finger. She liked this man, he was nice and funny. She smiled.

"Oh? I didn't think of you as the daredevil kind of type, how amusing. I like it." Lucius flashed her a grin. 'She seems like a very interesting human. I like her, she's nice, very pretty.. wait, what's with the lewd thoughts? You're supposed to be an angel, only demons think like that! he thought. 'You know what? Screw acting like a proper civilized immortal being, I'll act on my emotions.' "Hey, can I ask you a weird question?" he asked.

"Oh? Of course, what is it?" Aimee asked, taking her hair down. She divided it into three pieces and braided them in a loose, pretty fashion. She tied it at the bottom, and tilted her head at Lucius. She sipped her drink again, eyes on him. She was smiling in a polite and questioning way.

"What if I said demons and angels existed? Like in those fantasy books. What if I also said, werewolves, vampires, the undead, and even spirits existed as well? Here's my question do believe is stuff like that, that it's real? Sometimes I wonder if it is.. what do you think?" Lucius asked, that same kind smile plastered on his face in an eerie kind of way.

Though Aimee alrreasy knew these things, her eyes widened. "Of course I do... For peculiar reasons, but yes. I do, and I know they do for a fact... Why do you think they're real?" She asked softly, smiling. She glanced around the room, catching glances of people. She sighed. Looking back to Lucius, she smiled and sipped her drink again.

His smile grew bigger. What a peculiar response, what do you know, Aimee? he thought. "Because I may have seen a few questionable things. Things some humans would say 'unnatural'." He knew he screwed up by saying "human" but at this point he was too focused on what Aimee was saying to care. "So, I believe in the supernatural. I believe the impossible is possible."

"Ah. I see." Aimee sighed, and shivered. She pulled her hoodie around her a bit tighter, and smiled. 'Hmm... What have you seen, Lucius?' She thought, smiling. She hummed softly, and huffed. She raised a brow at the boy, smirking lightly.
