Suddenly, Nyad looked over and saw some new recruits entering the area. She then saw the king comming out. She waved a flipper and began to examine the new recruits. They were nothing special.

Lafayette's bright blue eyes shone as he reached the palace. The Larvesta was near the back, so it was apparent that he wouldn't be seen by anyone special. But he saw a Lapras and a Tentacruel up front between the gaps of Pokemon. He saw quite a few Pidgeottos, maybe a Swadloon or a Pikachu here and there. But he realized that he was different than the rest. He felt prideful as he scurried closer to the front.

Nyad blinked and saw the larvesta. Hmm. Larvestas are rare around these parts. She blinked and stared around, then began to swim away, and then fall asleep.

The Tentacruel saw a Larvesta in the field. "Hey, Larvesta. I'm guessing you're one of my new recruits?"
I mostly go on Smogon and Twitter nowadays.

Lafayette wanted to faint. He was so shocked that the leader had addressed him. "Y-Yes sir!" he squeaked quietly. The Larvesta tried not to jump out of his fur. He had never been seen as important in the orphanage. The other Pokemon liked to tease him because he would evolve later than them. But he was so happy that he was noticed here.

Trumen paced around over and over until he remembered something.
He pulled up a camera. He had snuck 2 small cameras onto the togepi and the riolu.

"So, now, it's time I told you this... Most leaders would directly train with their comrades. I am not like that. It's best for you to go out and do fieldwork in various dungeons. You'll get various things like money, EXP, food, and of course, training. You'll be able to adapt to any situation as well. So, why not go to that cave over there for your first session?" Toon pointed over towards a nearby cave.

Lafayette nodded eagerly. "Alright!" he commented proudly. But he knew that once he got back to the orphanage, Audino would surely be mad. The Larvesta didn't care though. He was going to train today!
