I'm an inbetweenie; I've been watching both anime series since I was 4 or 5 years old. Here's the thing I like about each:

- Pokemon anime: It's one long continuous journey for Ash ... I hate when things end! As exhausting as it is sometimes to watch longer series (ex: Bleach and Naruto), it's also a treat to see how they character(s) have grown and where their journey takes them. It's also fun that there's SO MANY different pokemon!

- Digimon anime: There's different seasons, so there's different characters. For nostalgic reasons, I will always love the first two seasons of Digimon ... but my favorite is Season 4, Digimon Frontier <3 But in every season, I can get attached to at least one new character. And it's nice to see the bond that they make with their digimon partner (except in the case of Digimon Frontier, because that season's a little different).

... Okay, so I just contradicted myself. I love and hate long series, and I love and hate short series. Don't make me choose one or the other, I can't pick!!! Yes they have similar concepts, but they're also both unique and have their own pros and cons <3

I'm Digimon T R A S H. Me personally, I believe digimon is more interesting than Pokémon, simply because; one, Monster designs are more interesting to look at, series is amazing with the fact that it's more serious, and even though the baseline for the stories are pretty much the same, at least we don't see the same kid who clearly doesn't change much over and over again who's main goal is to enslave as much creatures as possible(that's the crackhead way of summarizing the series lol). Instead, we get a group of kids who make their "partners" fight their battles for them while yelling at the air pretending they're doing something that change drastically during their adventures(The crackhead way of summarizing digimon lol). The games are just my personal favorite; you have to have certain requirements to be able to evolve your digimon to a certain form, the Pokémon games are better in terms of fair gameplay though, the Pokémon games have more balance when it comes to health and strategy, whereas digimon, it's so PAINFULL to beat the story, even if you grind for 100 hours to get your digimon to max level, you can still get one shotted even though your defense is super HIGH. I am sometimes barely able to get one move in without dying literally the next turn. So, like I said the Pokémon games are better in terms of balance.

Though the majority of the Pokémon fandom calls Digimon a ripoff of Pokémon, it really isn't, Digimon is based off of Tamagotchi, which was first released in 1996 in Japan. Digimon has it's own concepts that are unique to them. And I honestly would like people to stop calling digimon a ripoff of Pokémon simply because they are similar.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Pokémon; hence why I'm here. But I just like digimon more.

Love it, while I personally preferred the games with Pokemon, I always liked the Digimon anime over the Pokemon one. It's a neat tradeoff I've always had & whats allowed me to adore both franchises equally.

I used to watch the digimon anime when I was... 7? And never really like it, it was just way too weird for me. I personally don’t really care, I think they’re both really cool in their own little way but I still prefer pokemon. I guess the concept of digimon is so weird since I previously grew up on pokemon, but it’s pretty interesting

Digimon, in my opinion, is way more interesting than Pokemon when I got into it. The digimon designs range from strange and weird to epic and cool looking. I've watched the digimon anime when I was younger, but got into digimon again through roblox and videos from Shadowshak. I used to RP a lot as digimon on roblox, until my older brother noticed and let me play Cyber sleuth. I really enjoyed it and got to see mons that weren't even in the roblox digimon game that looked pretty cool looking! I played digimon links for a few months, then stopped playing digimon games for a while until recently, where I played Hacker's memory. I've enjoyed hacker's memory way more than I did playing the original, probably because the story is 10x better.

Anyways, since playing hacker's memory I have been more into digimon again and want to get into the digimon world series and that. There is also a new one coming out soon so I might get it. But yeaaahhh as you can tell I am pretty much in love with digimon-

Don't get me wrong I love pokemon, I just prefer the story in the digimon games than the pokemon ones.
