Moni set the girl down gently. "Then please wait here. I will bring the others." She ran over to the yells and stopped before two other kids.

"Are you two alright? There is another girl, but she is unable to walk yet. Can you two walk with me?"

Moni nodded at the two and jogged back to the first girl, offering an arm for her to lean on. "You're hurt," she said gently. "Let me help you to a safer place and we'll see to your wounds."

She nodded at the others. "There's a clearing over there away from the wreckage. Let's meet there."

Moni sat down with Duchess, propping her against a tree. "Here, rub some of this on your legs." She felt bad about giving away her mom's last gift, but this was dire. "It will help restore them." She sat down on a patch of grass herself, suddenly tired.

"The plane crashed?" She said quietly, "I didn't think that happened to...it's so rare...."
