The RP is semi-literate(At least one or two paragraphs with decent grammar and sentence structure) and MUST be spam free. We can talk OOC but then again, the pal pad and the PM system are there for a reason. The RP-er's are free to have as many characters as they choose. However, I do recommend that we keep the limit up to 5 each. If your character is a 3-D character(a person who has instant personality changes), then I advise you mention it before hand to avoid any conflict. There is no stress upon how many posts you have to create per day. Just RP when you feel like it but keep in mind that this RP is both of the users responsibility. If you supposedly have to go somewhere and are unable to post, inform the other RP-er so that he/she doesn't waste their time waiting till then. DO NOT kill the other character with out the user who is RP-ing him/her's permission. There will be NO pokemon in this RP, just your normal every day animals and such. Let's keep the rating suitable for the younger audience so I guess T would be fine ^_^ anything else I'm missing out on?
Anyways, I agree with the rules and I can't think of anything else to add.]
Belle woke up to a harsh bright light beating down on her, staining her eyelids blood red until she opened them up just to be blinded. "Time to get up!" bellowed a masked man who was carrying a large gun. It looked like some sort of assault rifle, from what Belle could gather. This was day seven. It had officially been a week since she was forced to pack a bag and then shoved into a car. She honestly never thought she'd say it, but she missed her parents.
Nevertheless, the other kids in the room groaned and rolled out of bed, shielding their eyes from the harsh lights beating down on them. Belle did the same. She was beginning to get used to this routine, so it was no surprise when they were separated by gender and then herded off to go shower. After that they had to get dressed, and then they were all put into some common room of some sort in order to 'mingle,' as one of the masked men had so nicely stated it. The best part about was that the men brought them all breakfast, which was actually pretty good. Not that she would admit it, though.
So that was exactly what she and all of the others did, and an hour later, she found herself sitting alone on a couch, staring straight at the wall. Most of the others had already made friends, but not Belle. No, she couldn't. She didn't think it was appropriate to make friends when she was abducted and her parents were possibly looking for her. "Idiots," she muttered as music began to play and they started to sing along and laugh. This was just peachy.
Nathan rolled over and refused to get up which in turn led to the masked man hitting him hard with the end of his assault rifle. Nathan winced in pain as the rifle made contact with his gut, he clenched it and curled up into a ball. The masked man -who seemed pretty heartless- laughed and started to walk away, "You're lucky I didn't hit you hard enough boy," he pointed to the restrooms and chuckled, "Next time if you don't follow my orders, I'll cut you open like a tin can." Nathan got up and sat up straight again, still rubbing his stomach due to the pain. He got out of bed and lingered to the restrooms while shaking his head, "Geez, that punk has a really patient attitude."
After going to the rest rooms and freshening himself up, Nathan headed to eat breakfast table to eat. He was expecting a grand meal but the only thing he received was a suspicious looking blob of jelly. Nathan scrunched up his nose in disgust and pushed his plate away, as if he was trying to act all high and mighty, "I refuse to eat this crap!" The young lad leaned back in his chair and took a huge breath to calm himself down. Where the heck am I? Nathan shook his head violently and left without uttering a single word. I had the perfect life, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?! Before Nathan could leave, a voice interrupted him, "If you won't eat than fine," The masked man came out from the shadows and handed Nathan a plate with a proper, edible meal, "Take this and hand it over to one of the females."
Stupid...idiotic...PRICK! Nathan huffed as he handed a girl her food and went away still annoyed. He didn't refuse to bring the girl her break-fast because his life was dear to him. The girl innocently smiled and thanked him but Nathan didn't bother to turn around and return the gesture. Instead, he cursed under his breath and sat down at the end of the room, away from those optimistic idiots. The masked man told the kids to 'mingle' with each other but he said this nicely which pissed Nathan off even more. He closed his eyes to think but mainly to ignore the dreadful voices of the other kids singing with music. His eyebrow started to twitch automatically and he took short breaths. Nathan wanted some company but not the irrational kind. He wanted to talk with someone but he couldn't. It wasn't in his personality to stuff his nose up on another persons business. He pulled out his earphones from his pocket and plugged them in only to find that the battery of his i-pod died out. He just sighed and resumed back to his thinking but this time his gaze was fixed on a girl who was pretty much just as annoyed as he was. Nathan raised an eyebrow stared at her for quite some time...
The girl is your character~
Belle's thoughts and pissed offedness was stolen from her as some random kid plopped down on a couch opposite her. She merely spared a glance for him, sure that he was just another one of the annoyingly giddy people that were still jamming out to some stupid pop song. Sure, Belle didn't mind a good beat, but she had to be honest— it was all the same. Being an American idiot was one thing that she tried to avoid at all costs. She sighed and brought her legs up to her chest, setting her head on her knees.
This is all a bloody joke, she thought haughtily as she internally rolled her eyes and shook her head. Why would someone even think of stealing a bunch of kids from parents like theirs? It was like playing with fire— only a matter of time before they burnt themselves. There had to be someway, somehow that whoever was behind all of this was going to get caught. Besides, it was only a week. She could wait maybe another one or two before she went completely insane.
As Belle popped into reality, her blue eyes found the boy sitting a little ways away from her. She was surprised to see him staring at her, and for a moment they locked onto each other's gazes. It was one of those brief eye contact moments where you really want to say something and you can tell that the other person wants to as well, but neither of you end up doing anything but looking away and ignoring each other. That was exactly what happened, too, and for about a minute she was silent as she gathered up the courage to say something. Just say hi... It's not hard, urged her mind as she sat there, running her fingers along the hem of her shirt. The thing was, Belle hated talking to strangers. It made her look so... nice. All she had ever wanted was for people to see her as she was, which wasn't some sweet girl who went around making friends. She wasn't like the others who were laughing their butts off and singing loudly in the other room. She solemnly refused.
After some more hesitation, she finally turned back towards him and took a small breath. "I'm Belle," she stated matter-of-factly, her expression something cold and calculating, as if she were sizing him up.
Never in his whole life did he feel so nervous. The young man got up and walked over to Belle but tucked his hands in his pockets before calmly replying, "I guess this means I have to tell you my name too, right?" He sighed and shook his head, "The name's Nathan...Nathan Kress." He shifted his gaze to his surroundings to avoid any awkward eye contact with Belle and eventually his eyes landed on a purple haired guy casually sitting next to her.
Nathan just stared at the weirdo sitting next to her who was possibly sniffing her hair and giving the girl dirty looks. For some unknown reason, that slightly irritated him. Nathan growled under his breath and turned his head to look at the girl who seemed to be analyzing him. Nathan titled his head side-ways in confusion but then shook the thought off. He took out his hands from his pockets and eyed the guy next to her in a grim way. Nathans blood started to boil and he felt himself rage up. Does that guy have any respect for women?
Nathan clenched the collar of the purple haired guys shirt and aggressively pulled him upwards so that he may face him. Next, he stopped to take in a breath of relaxation before continuing, "You know buddy," Nathan brought the guy closer and his eyes turned dreary, "if you even think about a girl like that again," Now, Nathans voice was not too high or too low, he was perfectly relaxed, "I will personally see to it that you are cut into a hundred pieces."
The guy - who just acted as if he was all innocent - literally crawled away from Nathan - who still had his spectral expression - and whimpered as he did so. Nathan turned to face Belle and sat on the couch next to her, he was feeling uncomfortable being this close to a girl. All his life, he was next to his wolves and often spent most of his time in the gardens. Nathan just waited for the girl to speak but before she could, he just shook his head and chuckled, "By the way...why the intense look?" Nathan shifted his gaze at the dancing idiots and leaned back on the couch, "We can't do anything at the moment so why not cope with those people? They look like diseased elephants when they are dancing anyway's."
Belle's short bout of amusement finished as some random guy with a headful of messy purple hair plopped down on the couch beside her. Her smile dropped and her expression turned to the hard, cold face that she had worn earlier. Who the hell did he think he was? She set her jaw as he leaned over and literally began sniffing her hair. When he got a little too close, the girl began to snap. "Back off," she growled in a low, menacing tone. The boy just laughed and shook his head before persisting. With bunched up fists, Belle just sat there, looking annoyed as she contemplated punching the perv in the face or not.
She was literally about to swing when all of a sudden, the jerk was dragged up and off of her, and Nathan had him by the collar of his shirt. Belle's mouth hung open in shock as she watched him speak quietly to the creepy dude. She wasn't entirely sure why he had done such a nice thing for her, but she was very relieved that he did.
As he sat down next to her, she just gave him a look of utter confusion, her gaze watching him intensely as she tried to figure him out. She hesitated as he asked her about it, but still answered: "I am so confused right now. Why would you do that for me? I could have very well handled him myself..." Though she had meant for the question to be sort of rude, a note of gratitude and awe rung in her tone. She shifted in her seat and finally removed her eyes from Nathan, seeing as he'd realized that she had been staring at him the whole time. She was honestly sort of surprised at the next thing that he said.
A smirk played on Belle's lips as she stood up. "Let's go then, Kress," she challenged, a brunette eyebrow arched.
Nathan turned his head and gazed at the others for a few seconds before turning back at Belle. Seriously? Are they not worried about what's going to happen? He looked at the ground, still unsure of what to do. Nathan was still puzzled; it was like somebody had trapped him inside a labyrinth with no walls. He sniffled a little and waited for an answer but soon caught himself staring at Belle's deep blue eyes. They enthralled him really...those eyes held emotion and secrecy...they weren't subdued like the eyes he had always seen ever since he was a child.
Nathan began to grin unconsciously. This was the first time he had done that in months. For a moment there, he thought he was going to get spoiled or wrecked but he just let it happened. Nathans usual frown broke into a smirk. He didn't know why he started smiling like a goof all of a sudden...it was quite unusual for him to do that. Snapping back into reality, Nathan blinked and scratched the back of his head, "That was completely uncalled for by the way..."
I apologize for the shortness of the post..I couldn't think of anything to type!
Belle was dwarfed by Nathan as he stood up next to her, but she didn't let that faze her. In Belle's mind, she could still just as big as the other dogs, no matter how short she was. Another small smirk came to her face at his confusion, but she once again chose not to say anything. Instead, the girl beckoned for him to follow her as she inched nearer to the group of dancing teens in the other room.
She decided to explain what her plan was when they got to their destination, so she kept walking, only to stop when she could have sworn she saw a small glimpse of Nathan's smile. She gave him a sidelong glance before stopping and turning to look at him. A big Cheshire grin decorated the boy's face, making his otherwise emotionless eyes glitter with something more lighthearted and youthful. For a second, Belle even found herself catching her breath. It was gorgeous, and it left her with a look of somewhat awe.
But that small moment ended abruptly right then and tree as he explained to her that the smile was so-called 'uncalled for,' as he had stated. Belle simply shrugged and turned back away from Nathan, concealing a small smile of her own. "Of course it was," she replied bluntly with a short snort of haughty laughter and a roll of her eyes. It was always the best people who you had to truly work for to reveal. "Let's go," she muttered, and they were back on their way to the music and dancing.
After they had gotten there, Belle's devilish grin from before was back on her face. This was going to be fun. "We're going to teach some diseased elephants how to dance," she told him at long last as she grabbed hold of his wrist and dragged him along behind her, right into the mass of the stupidity.
His eyes closed shut and he started to slow down his breathing to think for a while. Nathan had a very sad history and most of it included being the laughing stock at a grand party or meeting. He hated being noticed by someone, it was one of his greatest fears. He always seemed to be the 'odd one out' when it comes to socializing. He never talked to his coaches, instructors or his family. His only friends were the silence of his room and his animal companions.
Nathan opened his eyes and glanced at Belle with fear written all over his face, "I'm sorry," He looked at the ground shamefully before continuing, "I can't dance in font of people." Nathan got the strange idea of every body laughing at his chicken-like behavior and such. He was then afraid of what Belle might think of him, What do I do now? I can't go away. Damn...I must look so weak to her. He started to walk away slowly while clenching his fists tightly, not caring about his already spoiled image. Nathan was all bruised up but not physically, he was bruised by heart, I guess being a coward is better than being humiliated even more than I already am...
He only frowned to hear his favorite song play on. He resisted the urge to dance, to bust out his moves and express himself freely. The different horrors of multiple things washed over him, he was consumed by fear. For the first time in his life, Nathan regretted being afraid, he regretted not being able to live up to Belle's expectations. His fear was the only thing that prevented him from joining Belle in a simple dance.
What made him even more somber was the thought of his father being the first one to abandon him. Nathan knew in his heart that his father would not bother to search for him because he was next to useless for the family business and that he was too weak and pure to be corrupted.
"Nathan." She spoke softly, hoping to not upset him even worse. "You don't have to do this if you don't want to."
Concern etched into the girl's face, she tried to figure him out. It was weird, considering she'd just met the kid not even an hour ago and she already felt like she understood him. As they stood there in silence, the song switched and something a little more fierce and determined flashed in Belle's eyes. She tried out a smile, and beckoned him forward, this time gently taking his wrist rather than jerking him forward like an oversized dog. "C'mon," said Belle as she got into the beat of the song with the other kids. "Don't worry about any of it."
She hated to admit it, but Belle was actually having fun.
The young lad took a deep breathe and let Belle drag him to the middle like before, but this time her touch was more gentle. Nathan gazed at Belles blue eyes and noticed her sympathetic look; there was new-found kindness in her eyes. Belles voice helped him to calm down and made him realize that there was nothing to worry about the crowd. Nathan kept staring into her eyes and pretended like she was the only person here - for a moment he chose not to be afraid in order to change the way he was now.
He smiled as she slowly moved to the beat, Do it Kress, if not for yourself, than for her...MOVE YOUR FEET DAMN IT! Nathan's eyes widened and he started moving his feet -slowly at first but then after a few seconds his body was dancing in perfect sync with the beat. His worries seemed to be lifted for a moment, Now I got nothing to lose so I might as well dance. He danced and occasionally growled in a very threatening way as those aloof baboons kept on stepping on his feet, Damn...can't these people see?
Nathan face plastered a devilish grin and his eyes sparked up, "Well then Miss Belle, let's see whatcha got!" He inched closer to her and waited for her to react to his statement. Though, he was still wondering what got over him this quickly.
It was then that she realized that along with her, Nathan seemed to be loosening up. He was no longer so worried looking and was even moving along with her. It made her feel better, and a grin spread across her face like a raging wildfire.
"Way to go, Kress," she jaunted teasingly, temporarily forgetting the fact that he was a seemingly touchy guy. He could suck it up and take it like a man. Besides, he was surprisingly good at this whole thing.
In order to actually dance, however, Belle knew that she would need a song that she actually need a song that she knew the dance to. So she went over to the person DJ'ing the iPod and basically grabbed it from him as she scanned through the music. There was plenty of crap music, and then maybe an okay song. She finally gave up, and slammed it down in front of the dude who looked pretty ticked off. "Do you have any good dancing songs?" she asked him.
The guy looked at her like she was crazy before answering. "Well, yeah."
Belle smiled like poisoned honey. "Then go ahead and play one of them for me, okay sweetheart?" she asked in a slow voice, retorted the guy's rude looks as she turned on her heel as walked (or rather stalked) back to Nathan. She waited for him to switch the song and when he did, it was the Wop. Belle was fairly good at this one, so she stepped into line with a bunch of girls and a few guys who actually knew the song and began dancing, a huge smile on her face.
[Sorry for boring post :P]
