After exploring the forest for a while, you come upon a small house. Upon entering it, there's a desk.
Theres a journal.
You open the journal.

Day One

We were out numbered. One of us for twenty of them. We lost half of us before retreating. What will come of us?

Day Two

We found a shelter. It's hidden, but we're running out of resources. Soon, we'll have to go exploring outside to get more.

Day Three

We got more resources, but we're down to half of what we had before. Some of us are changing sides, some of us are dieing. What'll happen now...?

Day Four

I'm one of the only ones left. There are fourteen of us, each different. I'm leaving this journal in the house above the portal. Maybe someone will find it and help us...? No. That's far to hopeful for us...
You put the journal down.

Who are these people? How many of them are left?
You go downstairs, a blue-green portal. You step through it, and find a civilization.
Could it be the people in the journal?
