You can always use http://prnt.sc as well to upload pictures without making an account.

I use it with no problems, and others do as well. You can show your parents how it works. It's safe and completely free. No sign up needed.

That's alright. It is possible to make an account on it. It probably helps if you are uploading an image and then want to use it later, or go back to it. But you don't need it.

Or you can use photobucket.com as well. I've been on there for years with no issues. But you do have to make an account on there. Still free though.
