"Oh, I meant I have extra sewaddle and Woobat. But if you insist, I
do have a budew from the last group that didn't get picked."
Professor Maple explained.
"Well, if that's your choice, then..." Professor Maple went back
into the Pc and grabbed the budew. "Here it is. Now, I will be
giving you three pokedexes, which will help you record and store
data on the pokemon you catch, and to catch pokemon you need
pokeballs." Professor Maple handed out the pokdexes and gave 5
pokeballs to each child. "Will you need a tutorial on how to catch
pokemon?" Professor Maple asked, somewhat knowing the anwser to his
own question.
"I guess, it'll be easier if we were taught first." Amalin
anwsered.
"Alright, Amalin, Lindsay, and Ivan, if you want, follow me. We'll
be heading off to route 101, which will be the begining of your
journey." Professor Maple announced.
"Okay. Off to Route 101!" Amalin said with a cheery tone.
The group headed towards route 101. "Alright first, you have to go
through the tall grass, and eventually, you'll encounter a
pokemon." Professor Maple went into the tall grass, and a patrat
jumped out of the tall grass, starting a battle. "First, you need
to weaken the pokemon," Professor Maple sent out a riolu and used
quick attack. "Then you need to throw a pokeball." Professor Maple
grabbed a pokeball from is bag and threw it at patrat, and then
caught it. "Of course, it's not always that easy, sometimes you
might need to weaken it more, inflict a status condition, or even
use a better pokeball."
Amalin nodded her head. "It doesn't sound too bad, it actually
looked quite easy."
(...This is, I guess, sort of a non-cannon region, because of the
professor, unless a long time has past, it wouldn't make any sense.
But, we could say that it's just a recreated version of hoenn, I
suppose. I think I have an explanation for this, but a later
time.)
"So, any questions?" Professor Maple asked.
"Not any from me, I'm confident that Woobat and I will go far, and
learn more ourselves." Amalin said, seending the Woobat (woops got
them mixed up) out.
While messing on his Pokenav, Ivan found some intresting
information that could be usefull for his Budew. "I have one
question. Do we need a object called Soothe Bell for a Pokemon
become happy enough for a friendship evolution, or can it be
naturally happy for a friendship evolution?" he asked
"The soothe bell, I'm pretty sure just increases the friendship
over time, if that makes sense." Professor Maple answered. "But
I've heard that there are multiple soothe bells, that do different
things that deal with friendship. I would love to get those and
study them, and find what's different."
"Hm...it might, but it isn't on my mind right now, if I find
anything I'll find a way to tell you guys." Professor Maple
said.
"Okay, anything else you need to tell us before we go on our
adventure?" Amalin asked.
"Nope, if something does come up, I'll be sure to tell you when we
meet again." Professor Maple answered.
