In the middle of the night, as he was sleeping, Darkrai somehow managed to creep into Hyperion's dreams. He jumped awake, thinking that he was really under one of it's nightmares. After he realized that it was just his imagination, he went back to sleep.

(Finally got around to this.)

Hyperion woke up in the morning and decided he'd go through the walls and see what was happening, today, as Braixen got ready. He did hear some loud footsteps, after all. As he did, he saw the everyone running around, in a rush.

"What's happening?" He asked one pokemon. The pokemon stopped for a second, panting, and said in a rush, "Darkrai escaped somehow and the King...he's been put to sleep by Darkrai!" After that, the pokemon continued running wherever he was running. He barely understood what the pokemon had said, but he got the idea. He quickly went back into the walls to tell Braixen of this horrible news.

"Not good! Bad news, Darkrai escaped and he put the King under a nightmare!" As he spoke, Hyperion rushed to the door and opened it to leave.

For a few seconds, she didn't answer, but finally, she stopped focusing and began panting. "I- I was try to get rid of the nightmare...but some reason, I can't. Something's not right, here."

Hyperion asked her, "Do you have any idea where Darkrai might be?" Cresselia shook her head. "I know Darkrai's in this palace, but I don't think it would be a good idea for you to fight him this time. His power just went up suddenly. If he puts you to sleep, I don't know if I'll be able to wake you up, this time."

"We can't just give up," Hyperion said, "If we don't do anything, now, the whole kingdom will be put to sleep. Right, Braixen?"

After scouring the palace for Darkrai, they finally spotted it at the top of one of the watchtowers. Hyperion at first planned to do a sneak attack to give them the advantage, but Darkrai quickly turned.

"So you're back, huh?" It said in a whispery-type of cold voice, "I've already defeated many like you. Let's get this started, then."

Hyperion noticed that both of their moves weren't bringing as much damage as before. Cresselia was definitely right... But why? And how? That didn't matter right now, however. What mattered is for them to defeat Darkrai and figure out what was going on.

"Darkrai," Hyperion said, "Let's make a deal." "Oh? A deal, you say? I'm afraid I don't follow along with deals very well. Sorry, but that isn't going to work well with me." Darkrai shot a Dark Pulse attack at him and laughed.

Hyperion could feel his patience dwindling. His anger drove him to battle harder. He used Sword Dance the next turn to power up the rest of his Sacred Sword moves.
