What if you accidently got an egg while doing a shiny hunt, It will break your chain! So instead of crying in the corner, you can just abandon it and dont worry about anything.

Or you have eggs that you regret getting ( like you take an easy egg in the lab and then you later see a rare one but your party is full! or alot of eggs come up in the daycare and your party is full!)

But the negative side is it will lessen eggs in the lab ( because of releasing them for your daycare eggs) so somehow the eggs you abandon will either end up in the lab or the tall grass.

Or maybe some will randomly will get to the lab or the tall grass (if abandoned)

so the abandoned button will be where the 'Change Nickname' part when its a pokemon.
