Silverstar was gasping in pain as she lost her last life from the major greencough that killed the rest of the clan. The only cats left were the deputy, Diamondstream, and the medicine cat, Leafstorm. "You don't have to die Silverstar," Diamondstream gasped as she saw in horror her leader dying. "Leafstorm will be back with the catmint that she got from PearlClan." "Don't become scared, Diamondstream." Silverstar choked out weakly. "You'll be a great leader and bring the clan back together. I trust you, i trust you" And then her eyes rolled into her head and she was gone. Just as Diamondstream screamed in grief and sobbed on Silverstar's lifeless body, she heard a sound and look up. There, she saw the spirit of Silverstar hanging above her. "Silverstar!" Diamondstream said in joy. "You'll be a great leader Diamondstream, I know it. But for noww," Just then, Diamondstream was covered in mist and the spirit of Silverstar disappeared. "Silverstar? Silverstar!" Diamondstream called in fear. Suddenly, she began to feel very sleepy, as she fell asleep this voice rang through her head."As the clan falls in peril, the diamond will save it all, but after a mysterious joins, the base will crumble and fall."

Diamondstar was sleeping in her den when she was awakened by a sound. She saw Hawkstorm as the opening of her den. "Yes?"she moaned sleepily. "It's almost sun-high Diamondstar! I was going to wake you up eariler but you were like dead, I tried everything, but you weren't waking up!" "Have I been sleepign for that long?" Diamondstar asked stretching her body. "Well, remember, the gathering is tonight, you need to choose the cats that will go with you." Hawkstorm reminded.

Black and white paws raced through the forest as he called, "Flamepaw! This isn't funny! We need to go report the fox scents to Diamondstar!" Brightstorm was nervous because his Apprentice was missing now. After they scented fox on their territory, she had run off toward camp to go tell Diamondstar. He was following her scent trail but he couldn't find her. StarClan help me! he thought as he glanced around. There. Flamepaw was climbing a tree while a small fox, about her size, tried biting her. "Hold on Flamepaw!" he called, haring off to go fight the fox.

Diamondstar left her den with Hawkstorm as they surveyed the camp. "Everything looks pretty nice." Hawkstorm commented. "Yeah, but we have an almost empty camp and no medicine cat to help us." Diamondstar sighed. They left the camp and trotted over to the river. "Life was so much easier when Silverstar was with us." "Well, we just need to wish that nothing attacks us while we don't have no medicine cat, right?" Hawkstorm asked. Just then, they heard Brightstorm's cries. "Flamepaw's in danger!" Hawkstorm and Diamondstar said in unison as they raced towards Brightstorm's voice.

Shypelt was talking with a few kits in a friendly voice, but her ears perked up when she heard a mewl. She smiled and turned, seeing another kit. She was always a fan of kits, but no one wanted to be her mate. She loved helping the queens with their kits, and they were used to the black she-cat. "Greetings, Dustykit." Shypelt said to the little kitten behind her, turning and bending down til her nose was touching the grey kit's. The kit smiled, and blinked. Shypelt giggled, and the kit jumped up onto the back of her head. It turned and crawled to her back, and she let out a sigh. The kit was satisfied, and Shypelt thought it was quite cute.

Tigerkit leaped onto Shypelt's back. The brown and orange tabby she-kit mewled in excitement. "Give me a badger ride! Give me a badger ride!" she squealed, jumping up and down before falling off of the gray Warrior's back. She ran to Rainwhisper and squeaked. He was muttering to himself while staring at Shypelt. "She's so cool...She'd never want...to be my mate...I'm so quiet, shy- O-Oh no! T-Tigerkit, you didn't hear that, right?" Tigerkit eagerly bounced up and down. "Rainy's got a crush!" she squealed.


Brightstorm tackled the smaller fox, but was immediately bitten by it. He staggered back, stunned. He growled loudly, leaping forward onto its back. It tried biting him again only to fail. It rolled onto its back, throwing Brightstorm off. The black and white tom growled once more, darting forward and crashing into its side, sending it several tail-lengths away. The russet and white canine staggered back up before running away, yelping. "That's right," he growled, stomping with his right front paw.

Shypelt let out a yelp when Tigerkit jumped on her back, shouting about a badger ride. She smiled and was ready to say she could give her one, but the kit ran off. She turned, and heard the yell of "Rainy's got a crush!" Her cheeks flared and she whipped around, carefully to not hurt the kit on her back. 'Who could it be? Not me...' She thought, her ears going down. She shifted her weight, Dustykit crawled up and set her head on her's.

Diamondstar and Hawkstorm arrived at the scene of the crime just in time to hear what Rainwhisper well, whispered. They were blocked by the trees and no one noticed them yet. So they decided not to rub it in and went back to camp. "Hawkstorm, go get Brightstorm and tell him to get Tigerkit and Dustykit and tell him that we need to leave. I think we need to leave Shypelt and Rainwhisper alone for a while." Diamondstar commented, whiskers twitching with a smile.

Other: Barkwhisker was a brave and fearless warrior, but retired early, mainly due to emotional issues after losing his family during the outbreak of Greencough. Left with abnormal grief, it was if he had started to go mad - imagining them in his den, out on patrols, etc. When it was realised he needed some peace and quiet to fully get over what had happened, he was sent to the elder's den, where he slowly recovered. He's often seen playing and interacting with the kits and apprentices but also will willingly give advise to the older cats if they need it!

Silkfur tossed her nuzzle into the pile of leaves, pulling out withered lavender, witch still had its smell. She placed the lavender next to herself, making sure her paw didn't hit it. She pushed the pile back into its place with her nuzzle. The fresh lavender sat on the bottom, while the withered ones sat on top for use. She sniffed at the pile again. "I swear I smelt a mouse in here." She hissed, pushing the old herbs onto a leaf. She clamped the leaf together, moving it to the corner of the den for later disposal.

"Maybe the mouse ran out?" Stonepaw answered with a yawn as she entered the medicine cat den. "The kits are making a racket of noise out there, wouldn't be suprised if the mouse wanted out." she said with a hint of irritance in her voice. With another yawn, she added, "What should we do today?" with her blue eyes gazing over the pile of herbs and the relaxing scent of lavender.



Grassfur and Sandstripe remained in the camp, their heads were bent towards each other but they spoke rapidly and quickly although in a barely audible tone, whispering as quietly as possible to one another. Grassfur at one moment shook his head and extended his jaws in a loud and long yawn before padding over to Diamondstar quickly. He heard Diamondstar's comment about the two younger warriors and his whiskers twitched with amusement, "They might be good going on a patrol or something together." he purred, keeping his voice quiet before glancing at the other older cats, "Just wondering, would it be alright if me and Sandstripe went on a hunting patrol? We could take some other cats with us if they wanted to come."

"Well, we have alot of lavender left over from the greencough massacre so I though we should do something with the fainter smelling lavender." She sniffed. "We also have older poppy seeds but I'm thinking we should keep them, they will have some power left in 'em." She mewed over her shoulder.

Stonepaw merely grunted in a response and padded over. She bent her head down to the lavender that was losing it's smell, "We can't throw it out, can we?" she asked, slightly concerned, "W..What if there's a lone case of greencough... or.. or.. what if more cats catch it?" she asked, nervousness starting to ebb it's way into the usually reluctant apprentice.
