Then a bunch of people caught a strange disease.
Normal, right?
NOPE.
Not with this disease, at least.
This disease caused people to slowly fade out of existence. Nobody really knew if those people were alive, dead, where they were, or anything. When one of the people that had completely faded was mysteriously found crying in an alleyway, everyone started rejoicing. But the person that had returned refused to tell anything. He wasn't really the same as he was before. He wasn't really broken so much as... Mysterious. He kept secrets. And his emotions were muted.
The thing is, you have faded. You woke up in a cloudy dimension, like heaven. But you knew you were alive. You just had this feeling. Plus, your heart was beating, and you could touch stuff. You knew you had to get back to Earth. The question is: How? This is no dream. It's not heaven. It's not a flashback. It's not nowhere. It's not... Anything that you can think of. You see other people around you, and know you'll need their help.

"Okay how." Lilly says when she sees a neko in the lab.
"I just followed your scents. It's not hard. You," Midnight says, pointing at Light, "Smell like the hero that went rouge."
Light blushes. "T-that was my brother!"
"Yeah, right," she says, then turns to Lilly, "And you smell like him, with a feminine touch. Either dating, siblings, or roommates."
"D-dating!?" Lilly asks, shocked. "W-we're just roommates.
"Mmhmn."
