You can keep it, i caught it wild in the friend safari and don't need it. If i do i can always go and catch more.

Death, I just checked, and Pumpkaboo cannot pass down Trick-or-Treat onto Litwick. If you still need one, though, I can send it to you anyway! ^^
Also, I want to Shiny Hunt Pumpkaboo via the PokéRadar or by breeding. I need to get five of them for something that I want to do, so it will take a long time, though.
EDIT: Darn! The PokéRadar doesn't work in the only grass where they appear... I suppose I'll need to breed them, then. >.<

Pokémon X & Y - Version 1.1 Patch Live

For those of you who have purchased Pokémon X & Y, the first patch is now live on the eShop. This patch will fix the Lumiose City issue, even if your game is afflicted by it, as well as an issue with the GTS where you'd get an error if you were using one of the filters. The patch is 229 Blocks to download.


Looks like nintendo finally fixed the glitch.

Does the patch work for the retail copy, too? Or just the downloaded ones?

Anyway, I had kind of an awkward realization yesterday...

Throughout the game, NPCs keep mentioning Grace the Ryhorn Racer. At first I was thinking, 'My character is a Ryhorn racer?' because her name is Grace. Ha ha. No. That's her mother.

My character has the same name as her mother. ._.

Yes it does work for the retail copy since that is what i had and was able to download it (it is free of course).

I actually got hit by the saving glitch. I had saved outside Lumiose city, and keep in mind that this was after putting in 10-20+ hours of work ofer the past few days, and spending at least 4 of those hours super training all my Pokes and getting their Amie friendship to max. The game just froze and the music was still playing and I was like, "WHAT THE CRAP?!" The creepiest thing was, the buildings and street were loaded, but the street wasn't textured, so it was just like this blank grey, and there weren't any people or street decorations out. I really felt like writing a creepypasta or something about it.

Anyways, I just wanted to throw my 3DS at a wall. After all that work, I had to start over... I didn't restart, though, because it was in the morning before school, and I was hoping that I could take it to GameStop after school was out and get it fixed or get a new one if it was just an issue with my copy. But I took it to school like normal for the street passes. At lunch I was going to show my friend to show her how creepy it was, but the game just started like normal, as if it had fixed itself somehow. So luckily, I didn't have to start over, but it still freaked me out... And I still have no idea how it fixed itself. I mean, this was before the patch came out.

That maybe a different glitch, because the saving glitch was happening inside Lumiose City on North and South Blvd. And you were fine if you saved either in the center of the city or inside the buildings.

No, it's the same. I saved outside on South Blvd. of Lumiose City (because I didn't have the north end unlocked yet). After looking at some videos of the glitch, I know mine was the same. The home button didn't work, tapping the screen didn't work, the only thing I could do was hold down the power button to turn it off, just like in the videos.

ah ok, i thought you meant when you had said "I had saved outside Lumiose city" that you were not in the city when you had saved.

I saw a few people posting tricks on how to fix the glitch before the official patch came out. Maybe you did one of the tricks without knowing it? Either way, at least it got fixed! :D

I was considering just putting off getting the update, then I realized how devastated I'd be if I got hit by it. I got almost 60 hours put into my game, with super training, Amie, and shiny hunting. I can't even imagine how it would feel to lose it all because of a glitch! Better safe than sorry, haha.

On a different note; I laughed my sister out so hard about her shiny Bunnelby she caught. Didn't even know it was shiny. It turns out that Shinies aren't as rare as they used to be, so my Weepinbell, Slowking, and Machoke I got shiny in Gen 4 are worth so much more than that one Bunnelby.
That, and I found Pokerus. (Haha sis!!)

And I'm searching for Monochrome Pokemon as I train for the Pokemon League.

As soon as you tell me what they are, I am probably going to go look for one.
EDIT: Also, I have heard rumors about Shinies being more common, but has it been confirmed? (If so, I am totally looking for more~)

Monochrome pokemon is just a rumor right now, there is no legitimate proof that there are any. However there is talk that there is a texture glitch. If they were a glitch then the new patch that nintendo just released would have fixed that (i would think)

I don't think that it's possible for it to be a texture glitch. A texture glitch should either happen any time a given model was loaded (meaning that every instance of the entire species would have it) or only one time that the model was loaded. It isn't like the game thinks "Oh! This individual Pokémon has been affected by the texture glitch, so I should load it as a monochrome Pokémon every time that its model is loaded, but never when another Pokémon that uses the exact same model as it is loaded!" If it did, then it wouldn't be a glitch. Therefore, I think it is intentional. ^^
