Welcome to Runare, a place where witches, wizards and warlocks and Pokemon live in harmony.

Here, in Runare, Pokemon serve as loyal familiars to magic-gifted humans.

But, don't forget, familiars have magic, too.

Some can make their skin or scales transparent, to make the illusion that they have disappeared, or turned invisible.

Some have what we call 'glamours', which is used to change their appearance. It provides the illusion that they are a different Pokemon, or a different familiar.

Some have...slightly weaker powers, though. Breathing underwater, breathing fire, even the power to levitate (small) objects. These are all common powers.

But, there are some Pokemon familiars...without powers. They live on the streets and in the alleyways of the heart of Runare, Regari City. They use something they call 'Moves' instead of magic. Silly, isn't it?

Well, I'm getting off track, aren't I?

Yes, yes, hold on, give me a moment...

Ah, yes. Here it is. I apologize for the wait.

Arceus, the God of all, strives to keep balance, order, and the people of Runare in a calm state.

But, he has failed at his job once, my dear child.

We once let a man into the Kingdom walls...he claimed he was a merchant. He said his name was Quincy Ginre, and that he wished to see the King to see if it was okay for him to sell potions here.

We let him into the castle.

Such a foolish mistake...

Once inside, Quincy and his familiar, a Mightyena named Pika, who had the power of a glamour, walked in front of the King.

That's when everything went wrong.

Quincy ordered Pika to slay the King, and when the familiar refused, Quincy controlled the familiar with magic to do his bidding.

This kind of thing was forbidden.

He once again ordered Pika to slay the King, and, now without a choice, Pika did so.

The King was dead, and the kingdom was in despair. The Queen, however, Queen Sahir, refused to give up. She took control of the crown.

Pika fled from his master.

Now, I apologize for the long story. Recently, an academy opened up.

Zacara Academy, I believe it's called. It is a school for witches, warlocks, wizards and familiars alike.

I-I'm not gonna last long. My, uh, familiar's trying to back me up h-here. Poor H-h-hiru is killing himself out there...

A Noibat screeches in the background.

W-well, guess his fire magic didn't last long, e-eh?

His voice is shaky. Turn it OFF!

You hear a voice other than the man's in the recording. You hear yelling.

Appearance: Angelus has short lightish-golden blond hair, sky-blue eyes, and tanned skin from being in the sun a lot. He has good looks, but they're slightly marred with a scar that goes from just under his left eye to his jaw. He's about 5'11" tall and has a muscular build.

Backstory: Angelus wasn't born into the greatest of families. His mom drank too much, and his dad had major mental issues. They were very abusive to Angelus. He had a little sister, but his parents beat her to death. Eventually he just ran away, packing what few belongings he had and left. He wandered the streets for a while, surviving on his own, when he met his familiar. He found out about the academy, and decided he wanted to go there, and do something with his life.

Personality: She's really sweet, and she tries to be helpful, but her memory is bad. REALLY bad. She's good in a fight, but not the best at remembering plans.
