Here's a run-down of need-to-know information that you'll need in order to understand the world of Warriors as it pertains to making a cat.

Originally, there were 4 clans of wild cats.
ThunderClan, the forest dwellers who could climb trees. They were also the only clan to accept kittypets (House pet cats) into the clan.
RiverClan, the only clan to swim. Due to the heavy fish diet, their fur adopted the oils from the fish to repel water, thus helping them dry off and to stay afloat.
WindClan, the sleek runners of the moor. These cats were the thinnest, longest-legged runners, specializing in running at high speeds and possessed high agility to help them catch rabbits.
ShadowClan, the dark clan. These cats were dark-pelted, mainly nocturnal, and seemed to breed evil-hearted leaders.

However, for simplicity, there will be only two clans.
IceClan (ThunderClan + RiverClan), and
FireClan (ShadowClan + WindClan).

The name of the cat depicts their social standing. The first half of the name varies greatly, usually derived from plants or traits, giving some identity and individualism to the cat, while the second half gives the social information. The second half changes throughout the cat's life, but the first half does not. Below is a guide, and - denotes the varying first half of the cat's name.

-Paw = Apprentice
-Claw, Heart, Fur, Eye, Feather, etc.. = A cat who has completed their training. Usually a warrior, but also applies to a Medicine Cat
-Star = The leader of the clan
-Kit = A kitten too young to train
-Clan = A group of cats living as one group instead of several individual cats

The first letter of each half of the name is always Capticalized.
So, as an example, say a kit is born and given the name of Blossom. She starts life as BlossomKit, telling unknown cats that she is too young to begin training as a Warrior. Once she turns 6 months old, she begins training and her name is changed to BlossomPaw. Typically a year later, she becomes a warrior and is given the name of BlossomHeart. A few years later, she is assigned an apprentice of her own. A month later, the deputy is killed and the leader appoints her as his deputy. Her name does not change until the leader dies and she takes his place. When she returns to the clan from her Leader-Promotion journey, her name is BlossomStar.


Now for the ranks:
StarClan = The broad term for dead, remembered cats. They also have four clans, and each cat disappears when they are forgotten by the living cats. They are the ones who see the future and tell their clan's respective living leader about critical events using cryptic prophecies.
Leader = The leader of the clan, they are in charge of leading the clan through easy and tough times, keeping everyone safe, appointing a deputy, and deciphering prophecies from StarClan. They are given 9 lives, one from each now-dead cat that influenced their life, to use to protect their clan. When the last life is lost, the cat dies.
Medicine Cat = The clan's healer, and the receptacle for prophecies from StarClan. They receive prophecies in their dreams and recount their dreams to the leader for deciphering. They know everything about every herb, flower, and root in the forest, their medicinal qualities and how to apply them to a wound to help the wound heal. They usually take at least one apprentice during their life, but more than one is not forbidden.
Deputy = The second-in-command, this cat organizes the daily food and border patrols to ensure that all cats are fed. They are also in charge of discipline. To be qualified to be a deputy, a cat must meet the leader's own standards and have trained at least one apprentice. This cat becomes the leader when the previous leader loses his/her last life.
Warrior = These cats the fighters, defenders, and hunters of the clan. As such, they are most numerous. Apprentices train hard, and become warriors when they graduate. They will also train the next generation of apprentices if the deputy and leader believe that cat is suited for one of the apprentices.
Queen = A female cat who's kits are not yet apprentices. She does not hunt or fight until her kits are apprentices.
Kits = A young cat who is too young to begin training
Elders = Older cats who can no longer work. They are honored and well-looked after because they have served their clan and survived their ordeals. Many go to them for stories, and their care is often given to apprentices. Because of their honored status, they eat first.

Background Info: She was born and raised in IceClan. Her litter consisted of four kits, including herself. Of her litter, she was the only one to survive the following winter. While she was an apprentice, a great plague struck the clan, and she was the only apprentice of her age to survive the plague. Her parents and mentor were also killed by the disease. Her new mentor finished her training, and she became a warrior. A year later, the new generation of kits became apprentices and she was given BramblePaw as her apprentice. She trained him for six months, and then a fox attacked the camp. While the warriors, leader and deputy fought the fox, the apprentices were told to evacuate the camp. BramblePaw, however, refused to listen to orders. He joined the battle and survived the ordeal, but he later died because his wounds had gotten infected despite everything the medicine cat had done. SnowFur felt into a deep depression, blaming herself for BramblePaw’s death, and eventually recovered. At the next naming ceremony, the deputy stepped down and SnowFur was named the new deputy.
She took her duties seriously, doing her best at all times to make sure that the clan was taken care of. When a clan war between IceClan and LeafClan broke out, she discovered her talent for strategy, and her strategies tipped the scales to favor IceClan. After LeafClan’s defeat, a few cats who were either too young to participate or who were not loyal to their evil leader, drifted into the remaining two clans. At the same time, the IceClan leader lost his last life when the LeafClan leader cornered the older tom.
SnowFur made the journey to the MoonCave with the IceClan medicine cat that night, and she returned from the trip as SnowStar. She has been leading her clan ever since.

Abnormalities: besides her fur? None.
Personality: skilled fighter, strong huntress, can be a bit harsh when laying down punishments, but she loves her clan dearly and only wants to see it succeed.
Background Info: Born and raised in FireClan, her life went as expected. She lost a father and a brother to Greencough, and she’s been in her share of battles and she herself has battled disease, but there were cats who had suffered far worse than she had. She was given an apprentice before she was made deputy, and her apprentice completed his training and later left the clan to join LeafClan. He tried to come back to FireClan after the clan war between IceClan and LeafClan, but the leader banished him. BlossomHeart was and still is sad about the fate of her apprentice, but she’s reasoned that her apprentice was a warrior when he chose to join LeafClan so it wasn’t any fault of hers.
Additional Info: extremely prejudiced against kittypets and half-clan cats (cats who are 1 part fireclan-born and 1 part kittypet, or 1 part fireclan-born and 1 part otherclan-born)

Also, LucarioKnight originally applied for DewDrop when she was still an apprentice. He has since decided to make promote her in order to hasten the opening of the RP. So that is why the character application does not match the clan rankings.

Also, i made an adjustment in the warrior code. There were three clans, Ice, Fire and Leaf. But Leafclan started a clan war a couple years ago, focusing primarily on IceClan. When IceClan prevailed, FireClan, IceClan and StarClan banded together and banished LeafClan. IceClan showed mercy on those who were too young to think for themselves or who had not believed in the evil leader’s preachings. A few tried to get into FireClan. All were turned away, and all but one of those cats eventually found a home in IceClan.
Its also a recent change for the clans to be allowed to interbreed, though some cats still won't approve of it.

His fur is difficult to explain, it has several different layers of brown. Under the markings, his fur is a light brown. His back is a darker shade than the base, but the neck markings are lighter than both and creates a new shade when the neck+back markings meet (the neck marking goes around his neck, but the back markings meet on the backside of his neck). His socks (paws+ankles), ears, tail, and face have much darker markings than the first three, fading in towards the center.
Eye Color: His eyes are a calm light green with black pupils.
Abnormalities: -
Personality: He rarely speaks more than a couple of sentences around other cats due to his hidden shyness. Rowanflame is protective of Fireclan-said clan has known to be loyal at heart. He has a short temper and if someone messes withe one of his kind, he will become a ruthless killer while hunting for them. He's been considered admirable yet a fool for so.

As her name implies, Gingersplash is a white she-cat with ginger splotches on the uppermost part of her body. To be more specific, she has a ginger patch on her ears+face (discluding her lower jaw entirely), a giant splotch on her back with small white spots on it, and a full ginger tail. Her tail seems to have lighter faint stripes, but only appears if you look close enough. Her fur is thick and her nose is a light pink.
Eye Color: Her eyes are an energetic yellow with brown pupils.
Abnormalities: -
Personality: She's constantly hyper and obnoxiously loud to the point where newcomers can't stand her. She actually tries to help others if possible despite her childish nature. To contrast. Gingersplash also loves to purposefully annoy Fireclan warriors my messing around on their borders, nothing harmful though. She's quite gullible and will fall for any sob story.

Fur Color: Pale Beige with ginger tail-tip and forehead markings. White paws and chest.
Eye Color: Pale yellow with golden flecks.
Abnormalities: He is a short-hair breed but his tail is extremely fluffy, comparable to a Persian's.
Personality: SoftTail is very soft spoken shy, usually only speaking with other cats when necessary and often keeping to himself. He is fiercely protective when he needs to be and doesn't really mind kittypets. He is often up late at night watching the stars and hearing their stories.
Background Info: SoftTail has always grown up within FireClan, and very early into his training to be a warrior realized it wasn't for him. After consulting with the Medicine Cat, he became their apprentice after they saw how easily prophesies from the stars came to him. Now that he is a Medicine Cat he enjoys a rather peaceful existence save for when he is healing another, but he is oddly enough at his most calm them.

Personality: MinnowPaw is very playful, finding a way to turn the most serious apprentice missions into games. She is an excellent hunter and dreams of becoming a deputy like her father once was. She can be easily angered though so she makes an effort to stay happy and calm.
Background Info: MinnowPaw is the only daughter of one of the past deputies, and has a lot of pressure t be as good as he was. She is an excellent hunter and an even better fighter, letting her aggressive nature flow when she trains. She hopes one day to become a deputy like her father before her.

But that's not important. now, your fireclan cat...there is already a med cat for fireclan. but, if you want, we can make him an apprentice. i've got the clans set up so that the med cat doesn't take just one apprentice and can handle multiple apprentices. what do you think?

For SoftTail that's totally okay! Is it okay if he's not a 'paw' apprentice? It wouldn't really matter but I'd prefer it. But other than that I'm totally okay with that!
