How many winter months
Forum-Index → General Discussion → How many winter monthsYesterday my sister`s English teacher said that in Great Britain there are four winter months, not three. I`ve checked the articles about Great Britain in Wikipedia in two languages but there wasn`t such info in both of them. Then I`ve decided to surf the Internet thinking I would find exact answer but in the end I didn`t. Also, my sister was rather serious about what she`d said, and now I don`t even know if I`m right or not.:DD
So the question is, how many winter months in Great Britain?
Joking aside, generally I think it's better to have 'equal' amounts of seasons so I'd say three, but again, where I come from we can get snow around April, so I don't think there's like a fixed system in place. Going back on my point, I was taught when I was younger that it was three months for each season and this site generally gives the months and stuff - Click
So three months I guess - I wouldn't be surprised a teacher said more, it gets pretty cold for a while! xD
"...where I come from we can get snow around April.."
We have three winter months too but looking at our weather it seems that out winter lasts all nine except summer, nevertheless I remember it was snowing in August last year. For example, three days ago there was a strong snowfall in my city. Some trees were broken by wind and puddles were covered with ice, that`s how cold it was outside. Though the day before it there were +7 degrees:"DD

Well that's the weather for ya! As frequently changing as ever! xD
Anyway, no problem! c:
