I think the best was X and Y. The new features introduced and the new ways to shiny hunt, and the first 3d game for the series. Definitely my favorite.
The worst had to be Black and White. I didn't really like Unova that much. :/ the new Pokemon were a bit boring and the storyline was kinda like a lot of the games, and finally... I found it was too slow. Idk about you but everything seemed so slow. Training, dialogue.. Etc.

Gen 5 is my all-time favorite. Honestly, why do people hate it so much? N is also an over-loved character so don't pull the "Oh I don't completely hate it cause N!"
Gen 5 has some of the best Pokemon out there, to name a few... Volcarona, Haxorus, Scolipede, Galvantula, the starters even emboar, you name it!
Also, Gen 5 didn't even have the most Pokemon based off of inanimate objects. You wanna roast a generation for that, bother RSE. Leave my precious Garbodor and Vanilluxe piles alone <3
It had a better story than Gen 1 which i hate almost the most cause genwunners and I adored most of the characters. It let me relive the original Pokemon games, but a much better story and all new Pokemon. It gave me a chance to revisit some of my favorite characters in PWT and cynthia in aftergame h a and it's just a great gen. The only Generation that can even compete with 5 for my favorite is Gen 7, but mostly because Salazzle <3

Gens 3, 1, and 4 are my least favorites. I say this with pride. I absolutely adore Lapras, but not even it can save Gen 1 from being in the circle of hate.
Let's start with Gen 1. @ the Genwunners out there, please feel free to hate me for my opinion <3 Honestly, Gen 1 wasn't story-driven, which I absolutely hated. Nowadays we get great story in Pokemon, which we didn't get back in the old days. At least Gen 2 saved itself with Murkrow, Houndoom, and Meganium. Honestly, I didn't like the Kanto games because of lack of story, not a lot of amazing Pokemon, those things.
Next up is Gen 3. It gets a lot of unneeded love. I do like the motives for Aqua and Magma, though. Thinking they'd help the world with their actions is a pretty cool motive! But the music isn't the best and is kinda overhyped. Also, lack of lovable Pokemon from me. We've got Altaria..and that's kinda it. At least the megas were cool?? Eh. The remakes didn't exactly help Hoenn, and FRLG didn't help Kanto much either. If I must be brutally honest, Gen 3 is most forgettable imo.
And finally, Gen 4. This one isn't as bad as 1 & 3. I absolutely love a lot of the Pokemon in Sinnoh and HGSS were l i t like Froslass, Leafeon, Gallade, etc. Heck, I loved the story a lot, but there a few things dragging the Sinnoh games down. It was extremely slow to progress, for one. Also, it didn't give me a good challenge like Generations 5 or 7. That being said, I also played Platinum after playing through White..

It is actually hard to decide, since I kinda like every Gen. If I had to choose though, my favorite would be Gen 2 and my least favorite would be Gen 5. I'm talking only about the Pokemon here, if it comes to Characters my list would look different.

Gen 1 is my fav cause it's the one I started playing. Don't really have a gen that I dislike all that much if I'm honest.

My favorite would have to be gen 1 just because I tend to like the originals from the beginning of the game.

My favorites are 4, 6, and 7. I don't have a least favorite.

I grew up with gen 1. It's not really my favorite but it's the best region for me because:
1. Old but gold
2. Original dexes
3. Original characters
4. Creative myths and yep

Least favorite regions include the latest ones, gen 6 and gen 7. Personally, I think Nintendo ran out of ideas and just snatched ones from the previous games.

Gen 6

I liked Gen 3 (Hoenn), Gen 6 (Didn't play X and Y but played AS and OR), and Gen 5 (Unova)

I didn't like any other gen because I didn't play them.

My favorite is gen 3 because that's where I started, my first game was Sapphire. Least is gen5, I have yet to even complete a gen 5 game because it just doesn't interest me much.
