They finally arrived at the next route. Gold hopped out of the cart and went towards the water and instantly saw a blue fin, and the battle began.

The mudkip used water gun trying to counter.
"Avoid and use ember!"
and so bagon did.

The move connected but bagon was hit by a tackle.
They had all previously been supplied with a pokedex and 5 pokeballs so Gold threw a pokeball at the mudkip.

Gold laid down on the grass with his mudkip and his bagon who was now level 6.
It turned out the mudkip was level 5 so everything was going well for him.
He reached into his bag and started studying his 2 new pokemon.

Alexis hopped from the cart, and saw a Baltoy. She felt her Nincada, named Seer, jump from her shoulder as the battle began. She shouted "Nincada use Leech Life!" And so she did. The battle went on for a bit, and she threw down a pokeball, closing her eyes as she waited.

Gold had a column for both mudkip and bagon as he did just about everything possible to gather data.
"Hey guys, I'd love to collect data from your pokemon some time! I'd also like to scan them on my pokedex!"
