Aukemangi ( " oh-keh-man-gee " ) are large omnivorous land-dwelling mammals, inhabiting the tropical parts of the land. They come in various sizes, colors and their general appearance varies from invidual to invidual, although their fur is never too highly saturated and stays in a more natural hue.

One of the first features you'll realize, and their signature attribute, are the plants and fungi growing all over their bodies. These features appear early, about a week or even just a few days after the foal's birth. Usually the older they get, the more visible these features are, some of the oldest specimen being completely covered in large fungi and algae. As an Aukemangi passes away, their assigned eukaryotes take over their body and use it as a base to grow and flourish. In some cases, if the Aukemangi's fungi and plants happen to be toxic, the eukaryotes are the only ones depleting the body after death without the assistance of other lifeforms.

While Aukemangi look rather friendly, some of them can be extremely hostile, driving away anyone that comes too close to them or their pack. They're extremely difficult to domesticate or even get close to, as they tend to avoid contact with most other species that aren't part of their diet. And despite their rather large size, Aukemangi are very stealthy and often set up well-thought out surprise attacks and sneak up to their prey. Their large, flexible ears also allow them to hear in all directions, making them very efficent enemy and prey detectors.

Although they're very efficent predators and have all the attributes needed for hunting, they also occasionally eat fruit, berries, vegetables and even flower blossoms. This is to add more diversity to their diet and help them gain more energy during or after a long hunting trip.

- Adult Aukemangi range from 4'9" to 6'2" head-to-toe, 5'4" being average.

- Any kind of mane + fluff amount/length.

- Pupils turn oval when angry, shocked, etc.

- Life span ranges from approximately 75-100 years.

- Can wear accessories, but nothing that covers their back completely.

- Live in warm, tropical environments. Aukemangi can't survive in the cold for too long. ( examples )

- Aukemangi are usually born either male, female or completely sexless, but they don't specifically need to identify by it, meaning they can be any gender

- They usually travel either alone or in packs of 2-10. Aukemangi usually don't get along with other species too well but it may occasionally happen.

- Please do not re-sell or auction away your Aukemangi. If you no longer want to keep the design, please tell me or one of the other staff members and I'll alter the design and set it up for auction.

- You can have as many Aukemangi as you want, but please don't attempt to hoard them, so that others have the opportunity to get a design for themselves too.
