Actually, many people told me this personally and it actually works.
Just keep refreshing and try to be the first to click on the band for your eggs. ^_^

I just don't do it much because I can easily stalk the notification wall for "Interaction Exchange" messages.

Perhaps it only works on certain environments then.
I actually tried this trick the first time it came up, and it never worked which is why I gave up.

It doesn't work 100% because there's no for sure way to tell if you were the first to click the thing. ^_^

The next egg on the page is generated randomly from anyone who has interacted with the previous, it isn't who clicked it first.
This is clearly stated here on the Wiki Page.

This 'trick' doesn't even work, so I'll be locking this thread now.
