The mutant eevee was searching. Searching for some lab pokemon. Flytewing was terrified. His moves were barely a match for the mutant eevee. He charged a thunder wave in case the mangled eevee found him.

Sunfire crept toward where the Mutant Eevee was. She had to do it. She screeched and scrabbled forward, using Ember. The Larvesta immediately lost her balance and fell over, lighting the grass below her ablaze. "Uh oh," she commented, realizing it must be looking at her. She whirled around and scrambled back to the rock.

There's nothing more beautiful than the rain.

"Sunfire!" He fired a thunder wave at the eevee, paralyzing it, then jumped on it to use wrap. He could feel it growing weaker as he tightened. But so did he. "Help me!" Flytewing started to become tired.

Sunfire scrambled forward, aware that the fire was growing larger with every passing second. She used String Shot, panicking while trying to slow the struggles of the Mutant. She used Ember to burn it, hoping that it would do something at all.

There's nothing more beautiful than the rain.

Claire twitched slightly, trying to stay aware of her surroundings. She nearly drifted into sleep before the acrid stench of burning foliage reached her. "Feu?" she murmured, shakily getting up. "Very, very not good."

The mutant was almost defeated. Flytewing could hear its ragged breath. Flytewing had two black spots in front of his eyes. "Sunfire!!! Finish it off! Please!" Flytewing's muscles ached.

Sunfire used Ember once more, hoping to knock it out. She wasn't sure Flytewing would be able to keep up with all the smoke around them. She heard something, but she didn't pay attention. She kept her focus on extending the time this attack was used.

A moment of indecision- and Claire stumbled towards the source of the smoke. She had gotten time to catch her breath, but now the smoke made it hard to breathe anyway. The Ralts leaned heavily again a tree to gather herself. The sounds of life from the clearing ahead startled her out of her daze. She hadn't met any Pokemon on her hike, which she wasn't sure was strange due to never being in the wilderness. Her first impression to whatever was in front of her was not going to be passing out or stumbling along.

The eevee's matted hair was now burning from Sunfire's ember. Flytewing fell off the mutant eevee, and gasped for breath. He coughed. the air was filled with smoke. Flytewing blacked out, but saw the mutant eevee topple and melt into dark goo.

(everyone who attacked it gains a level.)

Claire attempted to breathe deeply, but ended up raggedly wheezing. She forced herself up and braced herself to the best of her abilities. She'd see the first life forms (that weren't disgusting human beings) she'd seen since she had barely hatched. She pushed the thought out of her head and, barely stumbling, forced herself into the clearing. She wasn't sure why she was surprised to see the growing fire or the unconscious Dratini or the Trapinch and Larvesta, but she blinked rapidly- though that may have been due to the smoke. "Hello?" she said uncertainty. She'd never really spoken to anybody much before, but she had a faint idea on what to say. " Est-il d'accord? Is he okay?"

Flytewing sees the ralts put its hands up in surrender. He absorbs the electricity back into his tail. "Oh, um, did I startle you? I'm flytewing. Did you escape the lab too?" Flytewing backs up in case the ralts is evil.

Claire suddenly realized that the fire was not out. "Oops." Her face grew concentrated, her tongue poking out of her mouth slightly. The Ralts used Confusion to lift a large sum of dirt onto the fire. "That will not stop it," she said tiredly, "but will hopefully stall it."

(Confusion can lift I guess, but only close to you and until you get a better psychic move.) Flytewing said, "There is a pool of water over there. Gather some!" Flytewing put some in his mouth and poured it on the fire.
