Our Clan's Name Is CavernClan. We Live In An Underwater Cave, Though It Isn't Filled Completely With Water. There's Actually A Stream That Our Clan Swims In To Get To Camp. Main Prey Is Fish, Though Birds Are Common Too. Yeah. Good Summary.

Silverpaw yawned and stretched, having just woken up. She grumbled slightly, and curled up again. She tried to go back to sleep. She hoped no one saw her.

Redfur was stalking by the swim stream, and hopped in. He swam a bit, before ducking his head under the water. Trying to stay still, a fish swam past his face, causing him to lunge his head forward, grasping it with his jaws. He wrestled with it, and his head broke the surface of the water. The fish wriggled, and he bounced onto the ground beside the stream, holding the fish till it went limp, dying from water loss. He dropped it onto the ground and shook out his fur, before picking up he fish again and heading for camp.

Crowflight and Sunfire were chatting quietly amongst each other. After Brightpaw's previous mentor's death, they had yet to find him a new one. "Do you think it'll be Redfur or Paledawn? Considering Paledawn isn't expecting kits, she'll need to be helpful to our apprentice here," commented Sunfire. Crowflight rolled her eyes. "Well, I think Redfur. Plus, coincidence that all three of us would get an apprentice? Our mother should get her rest. She's one of the oldest cats in the Clan!"

Paledawn was asleep in the nursery when she heard excited mews and yowls coming from near the Underpool. She sleepily opened her eyes and yawned before standing up. She stretched and padded out of the Nursery. She saw Brightpaw and Moonpaw wrestling playfully by the water. Shadepaw was watching worriedly, and the black she-cat opened her mouth to warn her brothers that they were getting too close to the water when suddenly-

SPLASH

Moonpaw and Brightpaw fell into the Underpool. With a pang of fear, Paledawn realized the two toms -- unlike their sister -- were bad at swimming. "Moonpaw! Brightpaw!" the she-apprentice shrieked, racing to the water's edge, fur fluffed out in fear. Paledawn raced over to the she-cat. Crowflight and Sunfire raced to the Underpool and dove in. "Shadepaw, go find Glacierstar. He's in his den."

Silverpaw got up when she heard commotion, and raced down to the Underpool. She saw cats in the water, and looked at Paledawn with fear. "What's happening?" She mewed in fear, eyes wide.

The black-furred apprentice scrambled up each rock, getting more agile and graceful as she went up, probably to keep her death for when she was an Elder. "Glacierstar!" she yowled/panted, leaping onto the rock [not the Flat Ledge] outside the Leader's den. Glacierstar was half standing, half curled up near his nest. "A-Are you okay?" she asked nervously.

Crowflight emerged from the water first, carrying Moonpaw by his scruff. Luckily, Moonpaw wasn't in the water for too long, and he had been holding his breath. He was panting by the time he reached the stone ground. "B...Brightpaw, where is he?" the black and white tom asked, peering down into the water. "Sunfire!" the apprentice realized, his voice raising in fear.

Glacierstar and Shadepaw were slowly making their way down the stones. Glacierstar was against the cave wall, to help hold him up. The young apprentice peered down and saw Lightwhisper exit her den with a few herbs, including poppy seeds. Glacierstar had begun to pick up speed as he managed to clamber down the stones.

"What happened here?" Lightwhisper asked, her eyes widening in fear as she realized Brightpaw and Sunfire were nowhere to be found.

((OOC: I don't know if I want Brightpaw and Sunfire to die .>.))

Redfur was swimming into camp through the Underpool, before seeing Brightpaw and Sunfire deep in the water. The fish in his jaws were long forgotten. He grabbed Brightpaw by the scruff of his neck, trying to swim up, air loss grasping at him. He broke the surface, and laid Brightpaw on the land near the underpool. He looked at Lightwhisper, and nodded. "I'm going back for Sunfire." He said, taking in a deep breath and diving under. He looked around, trying to find his brother.

Sunfire was still searching for the apprentice, unable to realize that Brightpaw was safe. He needed to find him now, even if it meant his death. The tom swam deeper into the water and his vision began going black. It's too late for him, I have to go back up, he thought with one last pained glance down toward the bottom of the Underpool before suddenly he couldn't see, breathe, hear, feel, or scent anything.

Lightwhisper growled. "Let Moonpaw and Brightpaw have space, they need to recover from the shock," she ordered as Shadepaw came rushing over. "But he's my littermate! If they die then I'll feel guilty, knowing I couldn't speak to them one last time!" Lightwhisper grunted and allowed Shadepaw to step over to see her brothers.

Redfur saw a fiery pelt of red sinking slowly, and he swam as fast as he could. He reached out for his brother, his claw snagging his brother's pelt. He pulled his brother to him, before snatching him with his jaws, like he had done with Brightpaw. He swam upward, and he almost broke surface when little black spots began to cloud his vision. He finally broke the surface, and gasped for air. He swam towards the land, laying his brother on the ground. Redfur jumped out of the water, and collapsed in a pile of heaving limbs.

Silverpaw watched the scene in front of her, eyes wide and fearful. She looked at the others, and wondered if they were alive or not.

No matter what Sunfire did, he couldn't breathe. "Wh...Where am I?" he wondered aloud, aware of the darkness around him. "You're in StarClan," a familiar voice meowed. The warrior turned to see his Father, Clawtooth, as well as the former leader, Butterflystar, and Brightpaw, Moonpaw, and Shadepaw's father, Tigerstrike. "I cant be dead, can I?" he asked Clawtooth, staring around at the starry-pelted cats.

"We're so sorry Sunfire...But it was just too late..."

Redfur looked at Lightwhisper, and back at his brother, seeing the unbreathing cat. His breath caught, and a shiver ran down his spine. "Please tell me he's okay, Lightwhisper." He whispered softly, looking at her with teary eyes.

Lightwhisper glanced over at Sunfire, her eyes widening in complete fear. "No...No, no, no...This can't be-" She raced over to the ginger and white tom, trying to get him to cough up any swallowed water. "Please, wake up, Sunfire," she sobbed. But nothing happened. "I'm so sorry Redfur...But I can't save him...It's too late..."

Sunfire sighed in defeat. "Who...will become Silverpaw's mentor?" he asked, glancing over at Butterflystar. "It seems as if every cat will have to have an apprentice around here," the silver she-cat muttered crankily. "Come on, let's take you to the other cats of StarClan." Butterflystar, Tigerstrike, and Clawtooth lead Sunfire to the forests of StarClan.

A dark brown tom watched from the depths of the Dark Forest. He needed to tell her. "Lunarpool, when will the chosen cat be ready?" he snapped at a blue-grey she-cat who was grooming her messy, thin fur. "Soon enough, fish-for-brains," she shot back. "For now, we stay here...

"And soon we'll claim our vengeance."

((OOC: Dark Forest villains are always fun to mess around with, especially Lunarpool and ["Unknown" Tom]. I actually have them in Rise of MoonClan as the two main villains who used Rainstar as a puppet.))

"No... No!" Redfur called out, tears flowing from his eyes. "Why... Why him? Why?" He asked himself. His body shook with sobs, and he took a step to his brother's body, before collapsing into a sobbing pile of bright red fur.

Silverpaw felt tears slip from her own eyes. She had been pretty close, and she looked down, bowing her head in slight reverence. She heard noises and sniffs come from Redfur as he laid there, unable to move from his pain stricken position.
