Moni + Hina's Story Corner [WIP]
Forum-Index → Fanmades → Fanfictions → Moni + Hina's Story Corner [WIP]You're walking in a enchanted garden, in complete peace with yourself. You see a small huddle of Pokemon frolicking in the beautiful flowers and stunning waterfalls. One Shiny Shinx was toying with its tail, and a Piplup was swimming gracefully. All of a sudden, you hear bells. Soft, melodious bells. "Storytime!" they exclaimed. They clamored and opened the gates. You follow them into a softly lit room, designed with soothing, warm swirls, scented of vanilla and cinnamon. "Ready for the stories?" Hina said.

I
jump up like the sun
Cuz' a new adventure has just begun
I can barely wait to lace up my shoes
Morning's like a smile I just can't refuse...
That's the song I play everyday to completely wake myself, and so I don't become a morning zombie and grump. Then I remembered that I didn't have school today. It's like waking up on Thursday thinking its Friday. It disappoints you because you're all hyped up, you know? And now I lost precious sleep. I groggily walked to breakfast. I only live with my mom, since my dad disappeared one day. She loves him a lot. She leaves him a different colored rose everyday on his table. I counted them. 4745 roses. They're also useful because since I'm turned 13 today, it shows that I lived for 4745 days. Kinda small considering that life is long. She has the smallest, warmest smile, but since Dad is gone, it hasn't changed except it has a dreamy, wistful look to it. I guess it makes it her look a bit prettier, because more men keep asking for her phone number and email. I kind of drifted off, sorry. Back to breakfast. Mum made fluffy waffles with sweet syrup and fresh strawberries. Delicious. "Thank you, Mother." I said politely. "You're...." she started and faltered. "What's wrong, Mother?" I said, confused. She just shook her head and looked to the dishes. I went to back to breakfast. "Sorry," my mom said, "If I looked at you any further, I was gonna spill. You know I can't keep surprises well." I just giggled. Even in basic manners, if she hiding something, she stammers and falters. She can't help it. "What is it?" I inquired. "New phone." she said, glowing. I passed out.
* * *
"Umm...I could get you something else?" she said nervously. "If an iPhone makes you pass out...I can get you a tablet-laptop hybrid instead?" "Nonothankyou!" I said, hugging her. "Want to buy a case?" she asked. "I didn't get one because I don't know all your interests, and I would hate it if you got something you didn't like for your birthday, you know?" I can't help smiling. "Yes, please." After a while, I got myself this case. "Beautiful." my mom said. "Back home. Second surprise.." I passed out when I heard about the phone. I don't think anything could surprise me more. But of course, I was completely wrong.
"New room." my mom smiled.
"WHAT?!" I screamed.
The room was decorated with hanging snowflakes that glimmered in sunlight. Snow white roses were laid on new bed. A walk-in closet with trending clothes and that one dress I had my eye on in the mall (but I didn't say anything to my mother because she looked so sad. Possibly thinking of dad again.) She got this soft pure white faux fur carpet that felt so good. "It's so-" I started and then realized something. "So that's why that room was off-limits!" I exclaimed. "Plus, it was the easiest way for me to keep it in here." She pointed at her heart and I just giggled. "But I'm not done." she said. She led to a seemingly normal outlet, and tapped on it twice. It turned into a huge slide. My mind was temporarily blown. She offered me to take her hand. I took it. We slid to down to a beautiful mansion underground. "Mother, how?" I said, shocked. "I actually saved up all this money for you." she said modestly, with a weak smile. The golden chandeliers, the velvet carpets, even the waitresses. "Mother, you're the best!" I squeezed her with no mercy. She just grinned. "Can I sleep?" I said. Right now, I had difficulties wrapping this around my head. "Well, first, dinner." and she clapped her hands twice and whispered something to the waitresses. They brought chicken wings, pizza, and spaghetti. My eyes widened. After eating all that, they brought out dessert. Cakes, eclair, ice cream, petit fours... I've never tasted such extravagant food. I went to sleep. But I had the oddest dream...

A pale yellow light
surrounded me...
It was comforting. A woman with long, elegant, blonde hair and icy blue eyes walked to me. "You are a child with a special gift."
"I am?" I said. "I'm rather flat and normal. Nothing special..." I shrugged.
"You are," she firmly stated. "Just listen-" she was cut off.
Dark demon-like creatures caught her and trapped in a cage.
Then they drained her of her magic...
"Help... me..." she faltered and collapsed in her cage.
"But I have no power..." I said weakly.
The dark demons came closer... "Aureal. She has AUREAL!" he referred to me.
"I have no POWERS." I practically screamed, but I teleported out of there subconsciously.
I hate when I prove myself wrong.
The gnarled fingers flicked greedily for the power...
"Eeek." I murmured to myself, suddenly waking up.
"Just a dream, just a dream," I reminded myself.
I decided to pinch myself...
Suddenly, a bunny popped into my hands.
It was pale yellow, with a white gem on the centre of its forehead.
"I'm Bell!!!!!!!!!" it screamed.
"Am I dreaming?" I said.
Bell shook her head. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO."
"Oh."
"Well," Bell continued. "I'M YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL!"
"I thought bunnies were sweet and adorable and maybe a little more quiet..? Not to offend you though." I said cautiously.
I don't like hurting people's feelings much...I tend to apologize a lot afterward.
"DON'T BE SORRY. I AM CHATTY CHATTY FOR A BUN. I AM MAGICAL BUNNY."
"WHAT?" I screamed.

Chapter 1

I opened
my eyes and sat up. Then suddenly I realized. It's my 12th
birthday! And that is exciting not only because of gifts (even
though those are quite exciting), but also, on your 12th birthday
you get your word. Well I guess I should explain. Well, uh-you'll
understand soon. Near the foot of my bed, I see a big bucket full
of water with a bunch of small pieces of paper floating around in
it. Taking a deep breath, I roll up my sleeves and then stick my
hand in and grab one of the pieces of paper. I hold it in my fist,
and it feels dry and warm, as if it had been sitting in the sun,
not floating around in a bucket of water. Then, slowly, I opened my
fist. And on the paper, in thick, dark, cursive writing was the
word "smile". Smile? How lame. I thought. Slowly, I closed
my fist again and walked into the living room. "Morning, birthday
girl." Dad said. "Honey, come eat your breakfast. The school bus is
coming soon." Mom said. I sat down at the dining room table and ate
my cereal. Finally, Mom said "Okay, the bus is here. See you after
school!" she opened the door for me. "Thanks" I muttered quietly,
then got on the bus. The whole time, I thought about my word, and
what it could possibly mean. Suddenly I realized that Alexandra,
the dumb nerd, had walked past me. I would have made fun of her
awful outfit, (a bright green hoodie and orange sweatpants? Does
she even have the slightest bit of fashion sense?) but the bus
driver oh-so-conveniently happened to be looking towards me right
as she walked by. Oh well. I'll just have to do it in the hallway
later. Well, I guess that'll give me time to come up with some
ideas. The lunch bell rang, and I finally had the perfect
plan. WIP

I walked
up to the table where she and her friends always sat. "Hey, nerd.
You ever heard of this thing called color coordination? Oh, and how
about fashion sense? Because if so, it sure doesn't look like it."
Or at least, that's what I would say. But, for some reason, as soon
I walked up to them, something stopped me. Memories of when I got
my word flashed through my head. Smile. What did it mean? "You need
something?" Alexandra asked. "Oh, uh, nevermind....." I mumbled
awkwardly, walking back to my table with my head down. I took a
bite out of my sandwich and thought to myself "I can't handle this
anymore. I need to do something about this....." The next day, I
came to school with a plan.
